    Grindelwald,

During my last range session almost all black color of the number 7 on my 714 CB iron disappeared, which looks not very nice. Also other numbers are slightly disappearing

Have you got any suggestions which color to use to black it out again? Thanks for your help

  2. You can send it back to Titleist to be repainted however this has happened with mine and I do not care...looks more worn in. However, not a problem to get repaired!

I practice at a course that has matts and turf. We hit on matts Mon - Thurs and turf on Fri - Sunday. Murder on irons. I go to local hobby shop and purchase Sharpie Oil based fine point black pens and fill in the black and that works for me. I play golf four days a week and just can't send my clubs back in. Two coats normally does the trick. If I occasionally go outside the lines, I use lighter fluid or nail polish removed to clean access. Some guys use these to change the colors on the irons, wedges, and their Scotties.

My 710 CB irons are the same way. Bothered me at first but now i dont even notice it. Also thinking of using a different color paint pen to personalize it.

Its an Easy fix you can do yourself...Get some black acrylic paint (from a Model shop) and paint in the numbers on your clubs. try to just fill in the numbers without getting paint all over the sole. Let dry, the take some fine Steel Wool and sand off any paint on the sole.
I do it to my clubs as needed
