    Luke-

    I play the AP2 714's as well...
They are a great club...actually they are awesome!
I have had mine for just about a year and don't see upgrading for at least a 2-3 more seasons. I usually upgrade every 4-5 years. Treat them well and you will be rewarded.

    Cheers,

I have them, but I play the MB's mostly. I think they are great clubs, period!!.....I did swap out the standard PW for a Vokey, but overall, they are sweet!!......You could ask Jordan and Zach?........Worked quite well for them....lol

Do you recommend switching the regular pw to a 48 vokey?

Hi Luke, ...it is an interesting problem to have. I have thought about it a fair bit too as I really have an affinity for my Vokey wedges. I have decided to keep my AP2 PW in the bag, but when I look to replace my SM5 wedges, I will give some extremely careful thought to switching to a Vokey PW equivalent.

The new SM6s come with a newer design that moves the center of gravity/moi in the club to better match the progression of the short irons into the lower lofted wedges. So that being said, I will carefully consider that option as my Vokeys perform very well for me and I am extremely pleased with them!

The 714 AP2's are fantastic clubs. The feel and ability to work the ball has been delightful for me! And, yes, I believe that Jordan still plays the 714 series. When I do misfit the ball, I still have a playable shot ... that's the nice forgiveness built in to the clubs!

Though, that being said, I find the 716 MB's absolutely divine! :-)

I have the 714 & 716. The 714 were good in the PX 6.0 but I love the 716 that much more because of the weighting with the tungsten in the heads. They just seem to be that much more solid (if that's possible) & they get the ball in the air with a great trajectory with ease. I can work the ball very easily & they just give the utmost confidence behind the ball. I know if I put a good swing on it, it's going to go where I want it.
  9. I hit both the 716's and 714's before I made my purchase. The 714's are my favorite. I was lucky enough to find a new set of 14's recently. I paid dearly for them but it was worth it!

I still game the 714s and don't see me moving to the 719s. I like the traditional loft set-up and they wear extremely well.
I couldn't be happier with them!

I have the 714AP2's. 4 iron through PW. KBS Tour stiff shafts. Standard lofts, lengths, and lie angles. In addition to a 52 degree Vokey bent to 51 and a 56 degree Vokey. I was fitted at the Oceanside center in December 2013 and have no plans to change for at least another year.
