I could really use some help regarding these two shafts -- has anyone hit both in their driver, fairway, or hybrid? Also, what are your thoughts on using the same shaft (but different weights) for driver, fairway, and hybrid?

My initial plan is to use the Rogue Black 60 in 917D2, Rogue Black 70 in 917F2, and Rogue Black HY85 in 818H2 (when it releases). However, after doing some research, I've read that guys seem to like the Tour Blue for their fairways and hybrids. So I might tip the Tour Blue 1" and put that in the 917F2, and put the Tour Blue Hybrid shaft in the 818H2.

Please help! Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I recommend that you go a Titleist fitter. I always do and fortunately one happens to live in my community and does the Titleist Thursday free fittings. He is was he set me up with and I thought I needed the Black Rogue in each club: y set up is as follows. 917D2 - , Fujikura Speeder Shaft, 917F2 - Black Rogue Max Shaft, 816h1 17* Black Rogue, and 816h1 19* Fujikura Speeder. Boy was I mistaken. He even extended my shaft 1/2 inch on my driver. Get it right and go to a professional.

    Hi Sean

I have the exact Rogue blacks in stiff in my D2 917 10.5, 917 3 and 5 woods, 816 19deg hybrid and 915 21deg hybrid(I swop them around depending on course and weather) I initially had the Diamana blue in stiff but found it a little soft, these Rogues are really good, very solid and smooth feeling with medium launch. I tried the Rogue Tour Red but they were pretty harsh, the blue launches too low for me.

    Driver stiff 60 3.6 s
    3 and 5 wood stiff 70 3.3 s
    Hybrids 85H 2.8 s

Any chance you can trial them both on launch monitor?

    Good luck

    Stu
  4. I use the rogue black and honestly love the shaft. It fits me perfectly. I use the tour stiff in the 915 D2 then normal stiff rogue black in 3 wood and hybrid.

Tour blue is an older golf shaft that has a mid to low spin profile. Do you have a fast tempo? As Tour Green is another option than the blue if you like a butt end that is stiffer.
  6. Sean, I have hit Rogue Black in Driver and Fairway metal but not hybrid, Aldila Tour blue and green I have hit in my driver, fairway metal and hybrid. These shafts load differently and you may find the tour blue is harder or easier to hit depending on your swing. I would consider trying them out a local Titleist fitter since while they both launch "mid" they feel very different. Good luck!
  7. I had the Tour Green on Hy,Fwy,DR and I really like it.
