You don't mention what irons you currently play so we don't know the loft of your PW. My initial thought is that you want to keep a spread of 4*-6* between your wedges as is suggested by the experts. So, you could go with a 54* or a 56*. Another option would be to pick one of those and have the loft moved up or down to a 55* and split the difference. However, if you do adjust a 54* or 56* just keep in mind that the bounce will also change. I currently play the 716 AP1s so the PW is at 43*. My wedges are a Vokey 46*(raised to a 47*), a Vokey 52* (lowered to a 51*) and a Vokey 56* that has not been changed, thus my spreads are 4,4 and 5 degrees. I don't use a lob wedge as I have a tendency to slide the club under the ball so the 56* is as high as I need to go. Hope this helps. Fairways and greens.

I have the 50, 60, and 54 bent to 55. If you bend a 56 you get less bounce so figure that in when you decide which one to get. Any shop will bend 1 degree for you.

Sounds like you need a 55.

I was reading a while back that Bob Vokey recommends 4* between wedges to give the player a 12-15 yards difference. I have Vokey SM5 in a 52*, 56* and 60* wedges and I love them.

Just a thought to add, PW are about a 47* so in your case, your going from a PW 47* to a 50*(which is 3* difference) to a 60* (which is a 10* difference). I would just choose to fill in the gap. Good Luck and hit’em deep.

That's a big gap for sure. You may want to go with a 54 or 56 degree and get some help with a fitter for the grind and bounce. My SM6 56 is an S grind with 8 degrees of bounce. Hope this helps

As Mark F stated, generally you need a 4 degree gap between your PW and your next club. After that you should have a 4 - 5 yard gap, then a 4 - 6 yard gap, if you have that many clubs after your PW. The loft of your PW plus your overall set makeup would determine exactly how many wedges you can carry and what the gaps should be. But, what everyone has stated is the current rule of thumb for gapping of wedges.

I go every4 degrees. from 48 - 60. I find I use the 48 and 56 the most, 52 here and there. Then the 60 just sits in the bag. This is due to the way I play. So figure out your game and match the clubs to it. Buy a 48, get the distance on a full, half and quarter swing. That should give you and idea of the next loft, repeat until you have what you want per how you play.
