    Hello,

Just wondering what it costs to get fit for everything (Driver, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges, putter, and balls at the Titleist testing facility?  And do you get the clubs right after the fitting from the facility or do they mail them to you.

Also, are they able to customize the irons and wedges with your initials and different color paint fills?  And lastly, can you purchase customized accessories there such as golf bags, travel bags, and luggage's personalized with your name on them?

    Regards.

We offer three separate fittings at both Manchester Lane and our Oceanside Tour facility in California. We offer a Driver/Fairway fit, Hybrid/Iron fit and a Wedge fit.  Each fit takes one hour or three hours for the bag (all three fits), minus the putter.  Most players that come to the facility are used to hitting golf balls and do all at once, but they can be done individually.  The fitting fee is a fitting fee only and does not go towards the purchase of clubs.  Oceanside fits Monday through Friday at 9am or 1pm.  Manchester Lane fits most weekdays at 9:30am and 1:30pm, but it can vary as they are primarily a Tour and research facility.  Once the fitting is complete, we will send you an email wth  all the specs that you and your fitter have discussed regarding your clubs.

The cost is $200 per fitting or $500 for the bag fitting (minus putter)  You can reserve your fitting appointment by calling Team Titleist at 1-888-TITLEIST (888-848-5347) or by calling Andy at 1-888-262-7202.

Neither Tour facility has any products for sale.  Irons cannot be personalized, but wedges can be personalized through your local pro shop or through www.vokey.com at Wedgeworks.

    Dear Cathi:

In regards to a fitting at the Manchester Lane facility, I have an appointment for an iron fitting in April.  I am currently playing 690s which are about 7 or 8 years old and were fitted by a Titleist fitter using the old method of contact tape on the face/contact board.  I am planning to get fitted for some AP2 irons.

    My questions/issues are as follows:
    1. Previously I had a fitting at the Sleepy Hollow Regional fitter for AP2 irons but did not like the way the felt with the detachable hosel for switching shafts.  The weight and feel of the irons with the detachable feature was very different from the weight/feel of AP2s with the regular hosel and shaft attachment.  I was told that the Manchester Lane facility has the various options of shafts, lie, length etc already available in irons that have been built with a regular hosel attachment instead of the detachable hosel.  Is this correct?  The Sleepy Hollow fitting said about 2 degrees upright and 3 - 4 inches in length would be about right for me.

    2.  I still have my fitting specs sheet from the 690s.  Should I convert this to a pdf and send it to the facility prior to my appointment?

    Sincerely,
    David S. Schwan

I got fit two seasons ago at Manchester Lane and all I can say is wow.  The experience was amazing.  You'll be blown away for sure.  One thing I would recommend is that you go into it with an open mind.  These guys fit Tour players regularly, so their advise is something to be heard.  What I thought I'd get and what I actually got were two different things, and I couldn't be happier with my irons, wedges and woods.  Enjoy the experience and be sure to post something about it when you get done in April.

    Hi David,
Manchester Lane does have glued irons, but they will not have any irons that are 3-4" over length.  The raw shafts are not long enough to allow irons made that long.  Go ahead and send Andy your pdf and ML can take a look at it prior to your appointment and make sure they have clubs that can accommodate your length.
I'm sorry you felt a difference in the surefit irons. There is an aesthetic difference in the look, but, we have done build studies, along with weight and swingweight studies and there is no measurable difference (other than aesthetically) in the glued club and the fitting clubs with surefit hosels.

I do believe the costs are all that expensive and I can say from personal experience that it is worth its weight in GOLD to have the team fit you for your game.  They are all a great team and I guarentee you will not be dissapointed with the experience and will most likely pick up a few things to help out as well.

    Best of luck,

    -Brian

Cathi how long does Titleist hold on to their customers specs, if they do at all?
    Just curious for comparisons sake.
