First, I want to say I love both of these club lines.  Extremely forgiving.

I recently had a custom fitting and based on launch monitor stats that said I was carrying the 816 hybrid (forgot which one) like 213, I got fit for a new set of clubs, going to a hybrid dominated set.  I was ditching by 3-6 Irons for hybrids and getting 7-W on the AP1s.

I got the clubs and the hybrids were 21, 23, 25, 27 deg and 7-W irons.  The irons are perfect in terms of distance and gaps (150, 140, 130, 120, 110).  The 27 deg carries 160.

But, the 21, when I hit it on the screws, carries 180-182 with 5 yard gaps as go up clubs.  I am really surprised because the data at the fitting suggested much different performance.  Even Titleist's own website for this product says hybrids should gap at 4 degrees and that 3 hybrids are really the most you should have.  I know you can go down a degree, but was I sold too many clubs, and should I have more spacing between clubs?  Should I have been given the 19 instead of 21? I know you can adjust 1 deg.

I just feel a little stuck from 180-200 now and welcome some professional advice.

    Thanks for listening.

Fyi....the fitter is totally taking care of my issue.  Thanks Titleist!
