I live in Illinois and I've been on the hunt for a 18 - 21 degree driving iron. I have a 19 degree hybrid and 4-PW AP2s and want to get a driving iron for a low ball flight that I can shape left to right. I live in Illinois and I've been to 2 PGA Superstores, 3 Golfsmiths, and 2 Golf Galaxy stores... None of which carry Lefty T-MB of any sort. I think I saw a 7i once, but it might have been a mirage, I think I panicked and passed out. Anyway, I've been able to hit the Apex UT, the Wilson FG driving iron, and the png Rapture. I asked the managers at these stores for details and they all told me they carry enough for lefties already and are looking to reduce inventory for economical reasons... I have a reservation at a Team Titleist day at Cog Hill, which is my last hope, otherwise I might have to make a decision based on the ones I've already had an opportunity to hit.

    Any advice?

Chris, fellow lefty here! I'm not sure how familiar you are with the website tgw.com, but they have T-MB's in lefty all the way down to 2 iron and you can even input custom specs on it. Not sure if there would be a cost difference if you ordered at Titleist Thursdays, but I know tgw has them in left handed!

I've always considered new golf clubs too expensive to buy sight unseen. If you can find a Titleist Thursday or Advanced Fitting Center near you and work with the pro to have a one available and determine the correct shaft to order. The large retailers don't offer a discount not available to a pro shop, so I wouldn't do it any other way. I'm also LH and was willing to go to Minneapolis from Madison for specialty shop to fit, until I discovered that Titleist had AFCs, and I was 12 miles from one in Madison. At the time I was about 60 and the stores would just point to the one LH senior game improvement set on the floor and leave me alone.
