what is the best way to go about this i read somewhere that you had to heat them up a bit because there is some glue in there

If you have a Scotty Cameron, you can send it to the custom shop, provided your style putter has changeable weights. Or you can go old school and add some lead tape until you find the weight you are looking for. Hope this helps.

You can buy the tool on scottycameron.com which fits on a standard ratchet. Then buy the heavier weights and change them out that way or like the other poster said, go with lead tape.

Use the Scotty Cameron Weight tool. It makes the job so much easier. The factory glue isn't really that big of a deal with the tool. Hook it up to a 3/8 ratchet and it breaks loose pretty easily. Make sure you clean the glue up when you get the weights out, it helps for future removal.
