Why I joined TT

I joined TT about 5-6 years ago, can’t recall. When I joined I had just bought a set of used AP1 710 irons. I needed a change and always knew Titleist had a great reputation in the golf industry so I finally gave it a chance and fell in love. So I wanted to know more about Titleist and came across the TT community. I didn’t know what to expect at first joining the TT community. Went on there to seek people’s advice or opinions about the clubs I had just purchased since getting fitted at a local golf shop wasn’t the greatest and didn’t really trust their advice. So I wanted opinions from other golfers that have played the club and gather their thoughts. 5 plus years later I’m still active on the community and seeing advice and loving every minute of it. Possible the best golf community I’ve ever joined. Not only do I get good opinions, advice, etc. from TT members but the friendship I’ve made over the years has been priceless.

First TT member I met during my first few months was Josh G. aka Hotsauce. Out of the blue he PM using the TT community portal and asked about my home course, Portsmouth CC. I’ll be honest I was a little worried at first, you know meeting someone you’ve never seen before but we’re gonna be on the golf course so what’s the worst that can happen right? Anyways, I had a blast playing with Hotsauce. Hands down the nicest guy you could ever meet and play with. And he had so much knowledge about the TT community b/c he’s been doing it for years, telling me some great stories and how great the TT community has been to him. He also told me about the FJ community so I joined that as well, same concept as the TT community but it’s all about the FJ product. To this day I’m still friends with Josh, we play every once in a while and we’ve become good friends. I have a lot of respect for him. I’ve also become good friends with a few other TT members; Mike, Rich, Higs, Tiger, Chris H (same exact name as me ) to name a few. Just few weeks ago I played Bethpage with those guys and had a blast. If it wasn’t for those guys, I never would have played Bethpage. And in Sept. I’ll be heading to Wisconsin to play golf with Higs, Tiger and Josh. Erin Hills and Straits are on the list to play. Again, without the TT community this wouldn’t have been possible. And to all the TT members going to TPC Sawgrass this year, you’re going to have a blast. Let me tell you the TT staff Mike D., Abby, Rich and Liz sure knows how to throw a great tournament. I played in the Pinehurst one last year and had an absolute blast. Can’t wait to see pics and hear the stories.

So here’s why I’m posting this. The TT community is about getting advice or opinions about the great products they make whether it’s about golf balls, irons, woods, putter, etc., finding out great places to play or sharing where you’ve played and posting some great pics and really just about anything that relates to Titleist and golf. And most importantly, it’s the friendship you can make on this page.

And to that, I end with this b/c it’s been bugging me...

This isn’t a community to get free stuff. It never has been for me. So for the people that continually to post about this here’s the deal. 1) bag tag, fill out your profile to 100% and at some point you’ll get one in the mail. Here is the link; www.titleist.com/bag-tag-signup And if you get a bag tag, game it DON’T SELL IT! 2) Stop asking or requesting free stuff. Only a few ways that will happen (from what I know); enter a contest OR stay active, participate on the board. Don’t be a “one hit wonder”. The TT staff is one of the best and they take care of those that are loyal. And who knows you may get a surprised at your door and last but not least 3) Can we please stop with the requests of yellow ProVs? I’m pretty sure Titleist is WELL AWARE of this request

Peace and love, Fairways and greens and wish you all the best. Cheers, Speedy

Great post. Being from and in South East Wisconsin feel free to reach out to me there are a lot of good courses and places around to try out for your September trip. And if you need an extra at any of the courses let me know.

One place to try if you have the time is Sand Valley it is going to be a drive from the courses you mentioned, but the course is amazing and it is featured in some of the new Titleist commercials.

Any swag is definitely only a side benefit to why I've hung around for about the same 5 years. Any swag that show up on auction sites is terribly disappointing and an abuse of the mutual loyalty. Speedy, as much as I prefer a optic yellow ball, I only respond to those to mention the multitude of previous requests. Even if we don't get it - Titleist does. I would like to mention from time to time that LH might like some of the options only available RH, especially in Vokey and Cameron lines.

The LH thing I don't really get. I'm sure it has to do with supplies and demands but I do feel bad for those LH golfers, they certainly miss out on a lot of good stuff.

Great post!!!! It's all about the networking and being a part of an awesome fellowship. Titleist always has your back. Agree, the yellow Prov1 question is getting old and with respect to those who ask; "Don't beat a dead horse to death". Cheers, Chuck...............

Great post! It sounds like you are telling my story! Between the TT and FJ communities, I have met some of the nicest folks over the past several years with many of the same folks on both. You did such a great job of expressing my same feelings all I can do is agree!
  14. I'm pretty new to these boards but it doesn't take long to realize that this is a great place, with great people, and great information and feedback.

Very well said, could not agree more.
Bums me out when you see bag tags for sale on e-bay. But what I think is worse is the selling of test balls!
