...look FANTASTIC! There are several pics of the new iron available now. I cannot wait to see the AP3 irons---looks like a great step between the AP1 and AP2.

The Titleist video of the boxes of irons going to tour pros---is just awesome.

Abby - can you explain where the 3's fit into the iron lineup? I'm a bit confused on this.

    thanks,

I have a feeling these AP3s are going to be a hit.

I am excited about them. Not so much to replace my set of AP2-716s, since I hit them well and love their look and feel, but to use them for my longer irons, instead of the AP1-716s I have been using in a 5 & 6 iron, which to me are a little too big and bulky. (Though I do get great results from them.)

A friend of mine got a set of Mizzy JPX-850s (the predecessor to the 900s that Koepka plays) and when I saw them, I thought it would be great if Titleist made something like that. From what I have seen, I think maybe they now have with the new AP3. If the AP3 turns out to be a cross between the AP2 and AP1, I will definitely be putting a new AP3-718 6i and 5i in the bag this October/November.

Can't wait to try them out.

I wonder if whomever wins the contest for free fitting if they'd be able to try them there.

I have a tee to green fitting on 7/13, 9am, at the Manchester Lane Test Facility. Any chance they will have the 718 line to test and get fit for? One can hope, right?

So are the AP3's supposed to be an option between the AP1's and 2's or be even more of a player's iron than the 2's as the numbering would suggest. I've seen a bunch of the social media stuff today, but it has provided little explanation.

I cannot wait to try the 718 CB and AP2 irons, I just hope that they are not astronomical. Don't like the recent prices from other manufacturers, hopefully Titleist won't do that.

Can't wait to see them! I love my 716 CB's, but I do like the look of the entire line. Very classy look on all 718 models.

The new line of irons looks great. Very curious to understand what the differences and or benefits are between the AP2 and AP3. From looking at the couple Pics Mr. Poulter released, the AP3 look to be a little bit larger than the AP2.

I am sure Mr. Poulter has created a big wave of interest prior to the "official" seeding release, but I am not sure that was in the plans....

I heard a rumor while visiting some Titleist folks down at Manchester Lane about the AP3, but I knew that was not a conversation I was intended to be part of, so I politely walked away from the discussion. I am sure that there is a very good reason for the new AP3, as Titleist continues to push the envelope and make me, or all of us as consumers very happy golfers.

Thank you for the post and I am looking forward to hearing more about the release.
  23. I think Titleist hit a home run wit the new release of irons! Cant wait to hit them!!

It took me 2 years of saving to fill my bag with my AP1s. And I love them. I guess it's time to start saving again. Looks like Titleist has done it again!!

Don't you just love how Titleist sticks to the two year cycle for improving clubs, balls & equipment. This gives R&D plenty of time to come out with meaningful new refinements and, in this year's case, a brand new model! Can't wait to try out the AP3's!! Not to mention this past year's new bag line-up, Pro V & Pro V1x, & 917 metals!!!

Proud to exclusively use Titleist & FJ!

So I was planning on upgrading to 716s this year and pushed my fitting out to last week to make sure I was swinging well for the fitting. During my fitting session I talked with my fitter about the 718s. He said it would be awhile before he would get any info on them. Low and behold Monday comes around and pics pop up everywhere. After seeing pics of the 718s my mind was made up, I'll go through another fitting in the fall for a set of 718s!
