Good morning Team Titleist! My birthday is coming up in my wife want to do something special for me, so she got me a round Bethpage Black. Definitely one of the hardest courses I've ever played... not to mention we went when there were 20 mile-an-hour winds and pretty heavy rain on the back nine. Stop keeping score because conditions were too hard and water collected, but after I rung out my clothes and changed for a good meal at the clubhouse I was able to take a step back and realize how much fun and how rare it is to play this course. People sleep here overnight in the parking lot just to try to get a walk-on (and I mean walk on...no carts). If you live around the Long Island area I highly recommend giving it a whirl see how your game stacks up.

What an awesome idea for a present, Joshua! I am one of those out-of-towners who has slept in the parking lot for a tee time (last two years in a row) on the Black Course and echo your sentiments on how awesome of an experience it is to tee it up there.

We'll see of our crew makes it three years in a row, but a round on the Black Course should be on every golfers list.

Thanks for sharing your story and photos!

What a fantastic present, Joshua! I am happy to hear you stuck it out with the rough weather. You need to get back there when the conditions are a little more forgiving.

Mike - Yes, your crew will make it three years in a row.

And Tyler, you are 100% right. The parking lot is a great part of the entire experience. Memories for a lifetime.

That is awesome Joshua!! Bethpage Black is a GEM and for the cost, it's a steal.. Pumped you were able to play and sorry to hear about the weather... Hopefully you can get back there someday..

And agree with Rich T., it's a yearly tradition as far as I'm concerned... On to 3 and many many many more...

Parking lot is always fun especially with the trash Pandas.. Great memories for sure especially when ya handsome buddy falls off a blow up mattress that was about 4 feet high and took the tent with him.. Good times.... :)

Can't go wrong with Bethpage black. Was able to play a bunch of times and was able to go to the US Open there.

They Ryder Cup is going to be off the hook there

Wow you've found yourself a keeper! What a cool gift.
As someone who has slept in that parking lot to get on the course, I can tell you BPB is worth it. I've been fortunate enough to play some awesome tracks and I have to say that BPB is the most difficult I've set foot on. Everything from the rough to the greens is a true test to your game. I'm stoked you got to play it, and if I lived in Long Island I'd never leave.
I can guarantee you that we'll be back again next year... probably sleeping in the parking lot.
