I was just sitting here being old (72) and reading thru the TT posts as I do every day. What dawned on me today is just how special our sport is. We all know that the tour pros all put time and effort into charitable things. And we also see that in our teaching pros. But just reading thru posts today it hit me that we all do. There are posts about donating to HS teams, kids, programs for kids. There are posts about being proud of when our dads make a hole in one and how we felt when we made one with dad there.

Thanks for being so great gang.

    I couldn't agree more.
This week I started the season playing with a young man, whom I consider a friend, who plays golf in the local Special Olympics. He often asks for advice, which I try my best to help with. Being on the autism spectrum, it's often hard for him to concentrate, but he tries his very best when he plays. Having him ask for advice, watching him shoot a lower score than me, and seeing me smile about it, really sums up what our sport means to me.
Reading the stories here, everything from questions, tales of adventure, even sharing the excitement of purchasing a new club, reminds me of how much this truly is a sport of gentlemen, in the very best sense of the word.

    TUrreta,
I agree totally. Isn't it great also that so many here are bonded by some magical energy That which only comes from that feeling when a Titleist is struck with that magical one shot, that produces the feeling we have all had that hooks us in.
And we come here to unite and break bread over that common love.
    Cheers fellow TT friends,
    James G

You’re absolutely correct! Golf is a special game that reveals character and I believes, attracts people of great character.
