Sounds like I'll have to spoil myself with a trip to the National Fitting Centre once this pandemic blows over! I will have saved a bunch of money from not being able to spend it on greens fees...
  3. How does a new club fitter / maker become a certified Titleist fitter. Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Ryan and Nick, thanks for taking the time to answer some of our questions.

I was fitted into a TS2 Hzrdus Smoke 5.5 regular shaft 9.5 set at B2. Came from a speeder 661 Tour Spec stuff shaft which was also fit with titleist Thursday’s. I loved that shaft....

My miss is a push slice...otherwise a baby cut. But now, I am all over the place with snap hooks, then lay off of it and slice it, etc. Is this shaft true to flex or is it to soft for me?

93 mph swing speed with a smooth to moderate tempo with a 136 mph ball speed with +3.0 A/A and 2,550 spin. I carry a 5 handicap and have never struggled with a hook or snap hook until this driver. Thanks for your time!!
  5. Hi Bax,

Thanks for the question! The shaft being too soft could definitely cause a two way miss or make it difficult to control the face angle on impact. I would suggest contacting our National Fitting Centre at (905) 553-8555 and we can set up a fitting session for you to see what the issue with your driver is!

Look forward to hearing from you!

    Bragg Creek,

If you're still taking questions -

How do the EI curves differ for the PX 7.0 and the C-Taper 130X? I can't seem to find the profiles online.
    Thanks!
  7. Hi Trevor,

    Thanks for the question!

You are correct that the Shaft Performance Guide on our website only shows S-flex shaft data. One day we hope to add other flexes.

Comparing the bend profiles on those two shafts, the PX 7.0 is slightly firmer for the first 8” up from the tip. From there the C-Taper gets quite a bit stiffer in the mid section. Then the two get closer at the butt, with C-Taper still being slightly firmer.

Performance varies by player. But I would expect C-Taper to feel a bit firmer and maybe spin slightly less for most players. They both are still lower launching, lower spinning shafts, though.

    Hope this helps!

My fitting challenge is always the length of shaft available. Our local Titleist fitter is very well stocked in standard length shafts and even has many 1/2" long shafts. My issue is I play 1" long. I was ready to head to the Titleist National Fitting Centre in Toronto last year as a result, assuming that they would be better stocked. Fortunately our local fitter and local rep were able to determine that even the fitting center does not stock many longer shafts. I get that this is much longer than standard but I cannot be the only one fit to 1" long.

Before my question I will pass Cudos to the fitting center for shipping the two or three shafts to our local rep who was then able to let me try them out - amazing service from Titleist and saved me a trip from Ottawa to TO so well done in that regard.

My question though is can there not be more shafts in longer (or likely shorter for others) stocked even if only centrally in a region for us long legged, but short armed T-Rex's?
  9. Hi Jason,

We have a wide variety of iron shaft options at our Titleist National Fitting Centre, varying from -1" to +1.5". If you are struggling finding somewhere to test the length of the irons please contact us at (905) 553-8555 or send us an e-mail at TFC_CANADA@acushnetgolf.com !

    Thanks,

I have had Titleist in my bag since beginning...962 to Ap 712...716....currently playing MB...Volkey wedges.
Normally I deal with Kathy Stecyk at the Titleist Regional Fitting centre at Northview, however they have moved separate ways.....

Saying that...been trying to get fitted for new set of irons....left voice message....and actually talked to a fitter (Dan), gave him my name + number....(he said he was in meeting)...disappointing no call back....and have to chase.

  12. Hey MJ, I too was fit by Kathy and was very sad that she had left. I too have also found difficulty with their other fitter. BUT theres hope!! Titleist Thursdays, book online and sign yourself up!!
  13. One question I have about fitters and fittings. I have attended one fitting for my 718 AP2, of which Kathy Stecyk was amazing and fun. the second was on a Titleist Thursday for hybrids, in which case i performed sooo pooorly that I realised I needed to master a swing before tackling new hybrids. BUT in both fittings I was beyond excited and both fitters made me feel so special and so amazing all the while not trying to push things on me or sell me things i didnt need (thank you Titleist).
But as much satisfaction I got from those fittings, do all Titleist fitters get the same enjoyment from fitting clients?

    Hi guys

I have been fit for my last few sets at eagles nest. I want to get the new irons and my range has a fitting day that you have to book your time slot, so its not a demo day. Is this the same process used at the fitting centre? or is the centre better?
