Titleist TSR2 Driver shaft purchase.

I have a Titleist TSR2 Driver. I want a shaft that is 2” shorter for it with the surest hosel already installed. Is this something I can buy from Titleist? If so, how? I’d also like to know if I’ll need to add more weight to the head if I do this and if so how I make that happen.

as mentioned, your local authorized Titleist dealer can accommodate, or if you have a shaft in mind, and it's a shaft they don't carry, another option would be to purchase from your chosen manufacturer, can get the fitting sleeves and weights online, take those and the grip of choice to a local club builder, and he can fit it all together. Weights for clubbed can be purchased online as well...

I'm not one to be shy about spending money on golf gear, but I'm glad I won my GTS2 for taking the crown in our indoor league.
Didn't stop me from adding a GTS 300, GTS 2 model 3 & 5 woods.. haha like I mentioned earlier, I'm prone to spending $$ on golf gear haha.
But yes, awful glad things are migrating towards 2 year cycles on product releases.

Finally went for a proper GTS Fitting at a Titleist Demo day last week. I had benched the GT4 and gone back to the TSR3. Some key takeaways: - As much as I want to think that there's no noticeable improvements from gen to gen, the data couldn't be ignored, I swung GTS4 faster than my TSR3 (same shaft) - There was a discernable 2 MPH ball speed gain and about 6 yards overall. I did hit more than 20 balls with each. - The sound of GTS is way more "thuddy" or "carbony" than any Titleist I've ever hit. I hated it at first, but came to not notice it before too long - GTS4 was a little better out of the heel and low face, and about the same out of the toe for me. - Gonna be an unpopular opinion here, but the price is insane. $980. I have to order a shaft with it, no "head only" option as usual. I've already been fitted into and purchased a $550 shaft that works perfectly in the new head. The free shafts that come with that $980 driver aren't worth $90 on eBay.

Another great driver from Titleist, but I'm not paying $980 for one. It's good, but it ain't that good.

Everyone has to make their own financial decisions based on their own circumstances, nothing wrong with that. I for one do not mind spending $900 for a better driver that will last me at least the next two years until the next release. That’s the equivalent of 18 rounds of golf at $50 each, or 9 dinners out at $100 over two years. I take personal pride in representing the brand I love and it’s a lot easier for me to have those socialization discussions with people I meet on the courses when they see me with our latest offerings. Again, not for everyone but I will not consider myself a brand ambassador and say an upgrade is not worth the money.

Unless there was a significant improvement in dispersion in addition to the improvements you noted, I would have to agree that the 6 yards are not likely worth $980. I know that when I made my last upgrade, my yardage gains were not the main reason for the purchase decision. Finding fairways was key for me and my TSR3 still does that for me. My distance has really dropped this year, but major swing changes are more to blame for that than the equipment :)

Hey Guys

Woke up the other day to see the GT series has dropped in price in Canada... (And FJ traditions dropped to $140 LOL). fantastic news. Is anyone buying one or getting fit for the GT? I myself bought a TSR 2 driver and a 16.5* fairway metal when the TSR series did a price drop and looking forward to hopefully getting a GT2 driver.

My question, who/where do you get fit? I was fit for the TSI3 years ago and outgrew it as when we dod the a/b testing the TSR2 was the clear winner on the track man. I have always used 9* drivers in A2 setting for last two fit sessions and am thinking to just pull the trigger and give er a go. so to speak but I guess has anyone done club fitting at Golf Town? It would cost me $60 then id probably order it from Titleist as the shaft is glued to your fit position and call me crazy but the graphics can set me off by being "busy"

Ive always been fit into the same tensei 55g blue shaft. only difference last two fittings went from 45" to 45.5 and noticed a little longer driving distance for me so I would assume the shaft would stay the same as I really like it a lot....

Previous two times fittings were done at my old club (Truro Golf Club) which is a Titleist pro shop. When fit was done and clubs were ordered, the fitting charge was waived. At GT I'd have to pay a $60 fee.....

I work at a "tailor-made" club as the equipment mechanic/junior greenskeeper and going to University of Guelph doing my turf grass management program so the club I work at, we would never have a "Titleist fitting" hence asking about Golf Town....

I saw improvements going from TSI3 to TSR2 and hopefully will see a difference going to GT2.

Looking for opinions on fitting options.

21* GT2 hybrid w/denali red

unbelievable performance, much more hotter than my TSR2 clubs and switching from Tensei blues to my fitted shaft was a game changer

You can find them on eBay or from users that have multiple that would sell here as posted.

From a agronomic/green keeping perspective they aren't the best I find and awkward to use (and this is strictly my opinion)

The "bump" promotes the user to pull the material to the centre... this tears roots on a green and causes brown spots... which in turn become dead and are perfect areas for grasses such as pot annua and other weeds to gravitate to as the bentgrass/primary grass species dies.

I find a long tee is better... as you work from the outside pulling the material into the inside which does not rip roots and the treen heals faster (I am doing my GC program at the UofG and been on seminars with world class superintendents and had this discussion)

The scotty tool will work, however for me I find it awkward and 99% of people I play with that a have them "lift up" as opposed to "pull in" the turf

New Iron Day! Super impressed w/T250

Hey Guys!

Hope the summer is going great and everyone is shooting low scores and having fun. Three years ago I was fit for T200 5/6 and T150 7-48* and always went with the 54* S and 60* M.... it works for me and my fitter is amazing! I have noticed this season my T200 5-6 strike beautiful and the contact feels stellar.

Last year I amassed 167 rounds (combined 9's and 18's) I work at a GC and am a turf student. Was able to get handicap to a 7.1 (lowest ever) fast forward to this season and work has increased and this semester has been involving and as result not as much time to golf. Handicap took a hit and started to trend upwards which is fine as I didn't have the time to invest into it like last year. Still hit the range 4 times a week and practice short game 3-4 hours a week. Still practice as much as I can but haven't "gotten hot" this summer and hoping for that moment to come which it will.

Because I have had inconsistent impact this season I decided I needed help and possibly to make a equipment change. I went to the T250 5-PW with my shafts I was fit for (feel amazing) and instead of the "kit" 48* I went with the SM11 48* F, 54* D & 60* M.

What a difference with the SM11 48* F compared to the kit 48* . Played yesterday and had accurate carries and drop and stop performance with my 2026 AVX. 2 x birdies. I find this ball helps me get more distance and it is phenomenal.

Before I went to the GC with the irons I went to a trackman to get carry distances and totals. Boy these irons are HOT but knowing carry numbers helped me last season. I have a slower swing speed as I have arthritis and joint issues however love to still go as hard as I can. My issue with the T150's (and they are great) I had toe misses and thin shots and they aren't the most forgiving. I find with the T250's even on a toe hit I can get a better miss so not upset about new equipment!

Overall the irons and wedges are amazing and I will keep practicing to try and keep my index in check! Super happy about these irons!

New T Series Black Vapour Irons

Those new Irons along with the SM11 all in Black Vapour sure look awesome. I see they are a limited edition but unfortunately I will not be in the market for something new until next season. Who knows... Perhaps they will be so popular that Titleist decide to have another run of the Black Vapour in 2027 :) For me it would be a mixed set. Thinking T150 for P through 7, T250 for 5&6, and T350 for a 4 Iron. However - I would never place an order before having a fitting done first just to make sure I am properly matched for the right set-up.

Attended the TT Wedge Camp at the Rideauview Golf Club yesterday and have to say it was a fantastic first class event. There were just 5 TT Members with 3 knowledgeable instructors. The event was 3 hours which started with a video and proceeded to the practice facility with hands on instruction. I highly recommend anyone to participate in this camp given the opportunity.

Well done Team Titleist on a fantastic day and I can't wait to get my custom fit wedges!

That is so good to hear. I hope that the golf season out your way is just as good as it has been here in Ontario. We have had a lot of really hot weather but fortunately we have also had a lot of rain through many nights to keep the course looking great !

The irons should still be around buddy. Usually they offer the irons in black for year two of their cycle, but this being year one, should still be there for when you're ready!

I still have that putter, cover, and divot tool attached. Since it was my first Scotty, I have kept it original although lightly used for those first 4-6 years. I wish now it was in original unused condition.

My first Scotty Cameron putter (Newport 2.5) came with a divot tool that was inserted on the outside of the putter cover. Pretty cool but I never kept it in the divot tool as it would easily fall out.

I agree with Dale. I have never heard of Titleist having any sort of "Discount Code" . I would be curious to know where you may have heard they might have such a thing. Perhaps you are confusing some other manufacturer.
