  1. I have just purchased AP1 718 irons. They are standard length with amt regular steel shafts. I previously was fitted for and played png white dot plus .5 inch in length. I am 6’2” and my wrist to floor is 37”. Appreciate any recommendation. V/R Michael Borchers

  2. It's impossible to say Michael. You would have to see a qualified fitter who would recommend you on your swing through a launch monitor and ball flight.

If you are simply going off what png recommended for you, then extend the irons 1/2 inch and bend the 7 iron to 65° and use that iron as the guide to bend the other irons. If you don't have someone you trust to do this, you can contact me at jason@precisionmobilegolf.com and I can do that work for you.

    I hope this helps

The biggest issue could be lie- the pings at green would be two degrees more upright than Titleist- the additional length makes the playing lie upright by another degree. That's the technical side, however, if you are not having issues with center contact and/or you are taking normal divots (e.g. the toe isn't digging causing misdirection) I wouldn't worry. If you were fitted these potential issues were probably taken into consideration.

Sorry, said green color code in error- my comments were to apply to white code not green- adjustments to match png are as stated by PrecisionMobileGolf above.

Just to add some more confusion, Titleist irons are/used to be 1/4 inch longer than the standard png irons. I didn't think it made much of a difference, but at my first fitting it took a + 1/4 inch png shaft to make the same contact as the standard Titleist.

everyone's a little different so getting fit is a good idea but i'm 6'2 and i play the 718 ap1's a half inch longer so you might as well. I would definitely check the lie and adjust it depending on how youre delivering the clubhead at impact, even though were the same height/build we may need different lie angles to hit it straight. good luck with the ap1's, theyve been great for me!

To clarify the standard length between Titleist and png, standard lengths have been the same as Titleist since the introduction of their G30 iron
