  1. Just wanted to share the great experience I had getting fit on 6/8/18 at Jim McLeans/Waterchase by Jamie Pipes. He was extremely knowledgeable, polite and understanding.

Showed up interested in MB’s and AP2’s, a wedge setup and a hybrid and Jamie let me try everything to get a feel for it all. Really surprised with the CB’s, in a good way. Ended up going with the 718 AP2s, X- Stiff Project X shafts, 1/2” longer, 1 degree flatter, 4-PW. Also got 3 SM7 black Vokeys, and a 19 degree 818. Very pleased with the process and all of the Titleist equipment I was able to test. It was also my first time on a Trackman and it was awesome! The 818’s are legit! I was carrying mine 230 with ease, highly recommend. Clubs are due in next week and I can’t wait.

I will be going back to see Jamie soon to work on new shafts for my 910 and 913Fd. If you are on the fence about a fitting go see Jamie. He’s the best.

Kyle, you are correct. Jamie has a great deal of knowledge and is extremely helpful. If you are considering getting fit for clubs, by all means go see him!!

Great to hear Kyle. All the Titleist fitters do such a good job. Hearing about Waterchase GC makes me a little home sick. Lived most my life within 20 miles of there. That said, happy to be in San Diego these past 4 years. Good luck with the new sticks and don't rule out the new TS2/3 when they become available.
  4. Cool, hard to pass up San Diego, my wife and I love it there. Where’d you live in Texas?

I’m definitely excited to get to try the TS2/3’s when they come out. I’ve had a Titleist driver in the bag since the 975D came out. I was in 7th or 8th grade and worked all summer in my grandpas warehouse to get the money for the driver and 3 wood. Still have them.

    Good times

We were in North Richland Hills off of Rufe Snow Drive. Played Iron Horse GC a lot but Squaw Creek GC more (was with Lockheed Martin). Still have all the family out there in North Texas but loving it here in San Diego.
  6. Cool. I was a member of Diamond Oaks for most of my life, played Iron Horse several times, never been out to Squaw Creek. Heard good things though.

Played Diamond Oaks a few times, almost joined there. Squaw Creek had a really good multi$$$ makeover a few years ago and its really good now. Texas Star was also a favorite to play and the Chicken Fried Steak at Raven's Grill is one of the best! Nice reminiscing... summer heat setting in, stay cool out there.

Totally agree with the statements about Jamie, upgrade my AP1’s to 718 AP3’s a few weeks ago and love the new sticks. Hitting shots that 8 haven’t felt comfortable with in years.

Can’t wait for my TS2/3 fitting next weekend.
