Recently had a fitting an purchased a TS 2 with a diamana whiteboard 70 gram shaft. Had the opportunity to hit the same club with the Tensei Pro white 60 gram shaft which I like much better. If I purchase the 60 gram tensei, what weight should be installed in the head? Standard length.

The shafts that Titleist selects are fairly well balanced for weight distribution. The SW may not change enough to bother. It's not the same as changing the shaft length. Since you already liked it much better with the 60 g shaft, that may be your answer.

Hi Michael, The LTD White 70 S would swingweight at D6 (45.5") with a standard grip and wraps. The Tensei White 60 S would swingweight at D4 at 45.5". We would not change the weight in the head unless a different swingweight had been requested.
  4. Cathi,

Can you confirm please the swingweight for the TS2 with the Kurokage Black Dual Core 50 shaft? My assumption is it may be slightly lighter than the Tensi at D4. Thanks

Hi Bob, The swingweight should be D3 with a standard grip at standard length.
  6. What would adding the +6 gram weight to the ts2 do for you, I like heavy thinking of purchasing?
  7. I just purchased a TS2 9.5* driver with a Mitsubishi Tensei Orange 50 Flex-S shaft standard length. Does anyone know the swing weight for my driver?

  11. … l am new to golf. What do swing weights do? Is there a book I can read more about it. The salesman set my clubs for D2 based on my age (82), and my slight fade. Driver is a senior graphite shaft, TS2. The driver has Kuro Kage 50 flex A stamped on the shaft and 10.5 on the club head. l like it ok. I hope the setting to D2 will help correct the fade. But I do not understand the D2... what is it and what does it or the other adjustable numbers do for me? I took it out yesterday before the adjustment and was hitting the ball out to 175 to 200 yards and about 50 feet in height estimated. The salesperson set it for D2 and as soon as it quits raining around Friday, I will take it out on the course and see how the D2 functions. Hopefully it will help. Please let me know if there is a book pamphlet where I can find out what all these D2 type numbers mean. Thanks for any info.... c.c

The hosel settings from A1 to D4 adjust the lie (angle) of the club head to the shaft and the loft (angle of the club face) to a vertical line. The loft can be increased by up to 1.5 degree or decreased by 0.75 degrees.

Are you using a Left-Handed club? D2 increases the loft from the club head spec by 1.5 degrees and will help "close" the face to move a fade to a draw. D2 on a Right-Handed club will decrease loft. If you have a right handed club, you should talk to the salesman again.

Swing weight is the balance of the club end to the grip end. By convention, most male clubs will be categorized as D2-D4. Women with a smaller build may find a lighter swing weight easier to control, so C-10 is more common on clubs designed for them. This is not controlled by the hosel setting where the shaft meets the club, but by a removable weight on the bottom of the club head. With equal length shafts, a 5 lb sledgehammer has a much lighter "swing weight" than a 10 lb sledgehammer.
  13. I have a T2 with X Oban Kiyoshi LTD 70 tour limited weight is 79.
I have the standard swing weight.
Should I change the swing weight up or down?
