Best shaft options for 2 iron

    Would love to know what the best options are for a 2 iron shaft outside of just continuing wth your iron shafts. In other words, are there good graphite shaft options? Should I look at Hybrid shaft options?

    Current 2 iron is 718 T-MB.

    Old 2 iron was the 712-U Used a DG Pro x100 on that.

    Kinda like the Project X 6.5 as a steal option. But think that maybe a graphite option might get more height.

    Thoughts?

    Hi James,

    I play KBS Tour 90s in my irons and use a UST Recoil 780 graphite in my 3 iron. This is a lively shaft (without it being too loose) - I have a smoother swing profile so it works for me. I usually have trouble handling boardy shafts so it's just right. The shaft also helps me get the ball in the air when I need to; no issues hitting it lower either. My average driver swing speed is 104 if that is any reference/help. Good luck w/ your search.

    Personally I prefer to have all my irons with matching shafts thru wedges. But I would recommend going to see a Titleist certified fitter to ensure you get the right set up. Trackman does not lie. Good luck. Everyone's swing and numbers are different.
