  1. Hello,

I had the opportunity to try (for the first time ever) the 718 AP3 with graphite shafts. I've been using steel shafts in the weight range of 105-120g all my golfing life.

I really liked the stability and precision of the Recoil 65 F4 shafts but I have some concerns about the swingweight.

    My specs are:

    - Head: 718 AP3 - Shaft: UST Recoil 65 F4 - Lenght: +1/2" - Grip: Golf Pride Tour Velvet (black) midsize - Lie: +2 up - Loft: standard.

Having into consideration the great difference in weight of the shaft compared with steel, the 3 points sw increase due to the longer lenght and the midsize grip's higher weight:

What would be the swingweight range that can be achieved with this irons if I order them?

Many thanks in advance for your help. Cheers.

  2. Great question Jorge. I have been considering the exact same spec's n for a set of AP 3's for myself. I hope we can get a

response from Cathi on this. She is always right on target with these type of tech questions.

HI Jorge, We can target D3 +/-1 swingweight. I would recommend requesting your swingweight when you place your order.

    Hello Cathy,

I just got an answer from Titleist in Europe saying that 'those specs are Tour Specs and cannot be achieved in Retail'. They also added that they could 'try, but will not garantee the swingweight'.
Can you help? This is simply unbelievable.
    Many thanks,
    Jorge
  5. Thank you very much Cathi.
I will do so and cross my fingers cause here in Europe you specify a certain swingweight and most of the times they will not deliver accordingly...
    Have a great day.
    Cheers,
    Jorge
