I’ve finally got a fitting for the new Titleist T range irons which I’m really looking forward to, especially the T200’s. I had a fitting earlier in the year at a Titleist Thursday for the AP3’s which I really liked but I wanted to wait for the new releases. At the moment I’ve a set of 716 AP2’s which I do like but I’m after a bit more distance so I’m really looking forward to see what the improvement is. So watch this space as there will hopefully be a new set of irons in the bag.

TGW had one of their fitters evaluate all 3 irons online. The most dramatic difference was the almost 12 yards gained over the AP3 with the T-200. He did emphasize that all three were not simple upgrades but significant improvements in feel as well as ball speed off of the face. I'm hoping to get a chance to demo the T series at Whistling Straits (...in LH).

Looking to your report on the T-200.

What kind of shafts did he have in the T200 vs the AP3 shafts......

Can't find the review (it was a link through one of the golf news sites) but I believe it was the stock AMT-Black for the T200, same shaft as the AP3 stock. He did opt for the stiff flex in all 3 reviews and was consistently swinging with a club head speed of 82-84 mph throughout. He actually had the widest dispersion with the T-300 and AP-1 but attributed that to the amount of offset that he is not used to. I know my results will vary (club head speed on 7I closer to 77). Just hoping the LH demo at The Straits can swap shafts (for the AMT-Red) to compare to my AP-3.

I have those same irons and it feels like distance wise is shorter than my previous irons. I will be getting fit in December at TPI, so hopefully they can see if the clubs were fitted right for me.

Had my fitting today with my filter Paul who was great. Went through all the different options and decided on the T200 irons 2 degrees flat with Nippon NS Pro Modus 3 120 ( Band S2) shafts which gave a better flight and dispersion with 10 yards more distance. I might go for the 48 degree gap wedge or a Vokey equivalent. The T 200’s were so sweet to hit with the forged face I couldn’t really tell the difference between them and my AP2,s.
So my order is about to be placed with my local pro as they don’t go on sale until the end of August and hopefully they will be in my bag around September.

Howdy! Looking forward to my fitting next week for the new T-Series irons. Currently gaming 7-9 AP2 and 5-6 AP3 and a 4 in the TMB.

Titleist usually gives their fitters a sheet with blend suggestions (and even loft adjustments recommendations). Has anyone seen this sheet yet? Has anyone been fitted for a blended set? If so, what is your setup?

    Thanks!

The understanding I got from my fitter was that the T200's only have the polymer core in the 4 to 7 irons the 8 to GW don't have it, which makes them more like the T100's. They will then give the appearance of a combination set.

Was fitted yesterday by Morgan at Credit Valley for new T300's and TS2 hybrid. Can't wait to get these into my bag.

I had my fitting yesterday. T200 irons are legit! Looks, sound and feel are all amazing. The most impressive part that I still can’t wrap my head around is how they got a 30 degree 7 iron to spin at 6900 rpm! I was longer than my i200 but still coming in with decent angles around 47 and 48 degrees. Incredible! I am super pumped and can’t wait to get my new clubs!

I've had my T200's for about 6 weeks and I'm really happy with them. I ended up with 6 to 48 wedge with black AMT R300 shafts. I was thinking of getting the 5 iron but my concern is with the loft as it's more of a 4 iron loft. At the moment I'm using a 23° 816 hybrid set at 25° which seems to give me the distance needed after the 6 iron, but my head keeps telling me to get a 5 iron.
Im interested to know if anyone else has a setup with the 5 iron and how you get on with it.
