Finally broke down and got the DT Trusoft. While I'm not a great golfer nor have I kept stats on various balls I've used in the past, I'm sticking with these. Thumbnail- they seem to be straighter and maybe a bit further on drives. Maybe it is just wishful thinking but the fly higher with my irons and hybrids. And on the green feel good.

    So- I've switched. Thanks Titleist.

  2. I tried one recently and agree it goes a long way! It is one of my new favorite balls for scramble tournaments!!

Im just crious, how well does it spin? will the ball hold the green on a 5 iron shot or will it roll out 10-15 feet? I tend to prefer a softer ball that spins

On a 70+ degree in the summer on greens not overly starved for moisture, you will see a difference. The DT TruSoft is just not a urethane ball. The AVX, if it comes to market, will be a softer ball with better spin but won't be at the same price point. Locally we had a dry September and no ball that bounces 5 feet in the air from 150 yards will hold a green.

It will roll out. Obviously, if you can get it high it will roll out less. Wedges will stop with a little roll out. They are worth it though.

I totally agree that these are great winter balls. I was playing today and it was 33 degrees. It felt great and distance was wonderful. I decided to use just my 3 wood for driving and couldn't believe the distance I was getting. It was wonderful playing from the short grass.

It is soft. I'm not good enough to answer your question about spin with a 5 iron but it did well for me on 9 iron and wedges. Sorry- just not good enough to be able to help. Someday (sigh).

Congrats T! I picked up a couple dozen of the new Trusofts the other day. They feel great. I still prefer the NXT Tour, and cant substantially explain why. I have only played 9 holes with the Trusofts, but I look forward to having more time with them. It is nice to save a few dollars here and there, but for me the NXT sets the bar high!

My Go To ball when the temp drops. Like the extra distance and soft feel

    Huddersfield,

My go to winter ball. I usually play NXT Tour S but switched to the DT Trusoft Been about 3 weeks ago. I play the yellow ones as well, they seem to be easier to find in the autumn leaves.
