  1. I have played with the 'Test' balls...love them...got about 5 yards more distance...not much difference in stopping the ball on the green...good feel off of the club face...first couple of drives I hit with it was like hitting a rock...realized that I had it teed lower than normal...adjusted the tee height to my normal and problem resolved....have not received the survey yet...it has now been about 3 weeks...when can I expect to receive the link to the survey?

  2. I got an e-mail saying I received a sleeve of test balls. It requested that I complete a survey about the balls. I did not receive them. Possibly, someone took them out of my mail. I did however, buy a sleeve of the new AVX balls. I completed the survey based on those. I noticed that they were softer and went further off the driver. I hit a shot that bounced on the cart path about four times. I thought the ball would be ruined but there was barely a scratch. On the other hand, the pro shop is selling the balls for $15/sleeve of 3. Five bucks per ball is getting out of my price range. Chrome soft balls are selling for $32.00/dozen at this time and I like them also. I would like to play the AVX but the price will need to come down before I do
  3. Several weeks ago I received an email saying that I had received a sleeve of test balls. I did not receive them. Possibly, someone took them out of my mailbox. I did however purchase a sleeve of the new AVX balls. I found they were softer than the Pro V 1 and seemed to go about 5 yards further. One of my shots hit the cart path about four times. I thought the ball would be ruined. However, there was hardly a mark on it. I will continue to play that ball. Even after two rounds it looks new. The problem I had with the ball is that the Pro shop charges $15 for a sleeve of three balls. Five dollars a ball is out of my price range. Chrome soft balls are selling for about $32 a dozen. I would like to continue to play the AVX balls but for me the price will need to come down. Excellent ball
  4. I am 66 years old and am an 8 handicap. My driver swing speed is 90 mph+. I have been playing with the ProV1 for several years. I have played a few rounds with the AVX and really like it. Compared with the ProV1, I found it to be longer with great feel and spin around the greens. It is exactly what I have been looking for and I will gladly continue to play it. It is a great fit for my game, and hope it makes it into the Titleist line up permanently

I was lucky enough to participate a few years ago.....if I recall, the instructions came with the golf balls.....or maybe it was an email. TT will make it right.
  7. The instructions that came with the balls stated that I would receive a link to the survey in about 2 weeks....Thanks for all of the replies.

Will Titleist contact me regarding the ball I tested? I am very eager to identify the ball I was testing if that information is available.

    Thank you,

  9. I can't answer your question...They have not revealed to me the model of the ball I tested...I did complete their survey and submitted for their review.

I have received the Golf Balls and have tested them, however I have not gotten the survey. Could someone please send me the survey?
  11. I compared the Titleist AVX to TM TP5, TP5 X, cally Chrome Soft and Snell MTB. For me the AVX is no doubt the better ball. Distance and around the green my scores reflect the confidence I have off the tee. Looking forward to finishing the golf season with the Titleist AVX.

Great feedback. AVX is a premium ball that can be a game changer.
  13. Ooo I'm enjoying the avx at the moment.

Was this a test for the new avx?

I thought it wasn't very popular so I didn't think it would have a newer model.

Alex, I believe this is a very old post that Eddie then commented on. He did his own comparison with multiple brands. There is no pre-release test ball for AVX out there for TT members at this time.
