Started using it when they 1st came out. I like the feel and do get extra distance. Do occasionally still use a ProV1 on hot dry days when I really need the spin. But AVX is my main ball.
  4. Think I still like the ProV1X better

I have been using PROV1 for as long as they have been available. I was at the range and the Titleist van was there doing ball fittings. After hitting the PROV1, PROV1x, and the AVX it was explained to me why the AVX was best for me. I'm 61 and am now more suited for a softer ball. I like the extra distance, the feel of the tee, and off my irons and when chipping a putting. Better feel all around. Scoring better also. Seems to go straighter and has a bit less stopping power on the green but I don't mind losing some of the backspin that can be a bit unpredictable. All in all I am an AVX fan...but don't like the extra cost. $50 a dozen is a bit steep but willing to pay for the extra performance.

Hopefully there will be a 4-4-3 loyalty program in 2019 and the AVX will be included. I had the opportunity to trial the 2019 V prototype but didn't get enough time to compare to the AVX I have at home (wet and cold weekends this fall). Still deciding if the lower descent of the AVX hurts on damp/wet fairways with no roll. But both are great balls.

Started using AVX in early fall and quickly became a fan with similar results as you've experienced.

Just won some proshop money in a scramble last month, buying a couple dozen AVX. Have only heard good things.

I switched to the AVX from the TP5X this year. I like the better feel, and extra 4-5 yards off my irons! Great ball!!!

Love the AVX. I became a believer when they first came out in limited markets last year around this time. I still occasionally will use one of my custom Team Titleist ProVs from last year, but that supply is finally just about gone. I used them up mostly during the warm summer days with no wind. For me, the AVX is longer by at least a few yards in all conditions. It's definitely straighter through the wind and better in colder temps than Pro V. Always played Pro V until the AVX showed up last year. Something about the AVX just felt right. Still does a year later. It is the right ball for me.

I play both the white and yellow versions of the ball, but prefer the yellow in the washed out winter light and dormant conditions. I also like that my yellow ball is more often than not the farthest one out in the fairway in my group, and everyone can see it out ahead of the pack before they get to their balls. That's quite satisfying.

The AVX hit the national market with very little hoopla surrounding it earlier this year. There are many golfers out there who have still never heard of it. Personally I think it deserved MUCH more hype when it launched. It is a great ball. For now I'm glad it isn't that well known. I feel like I'm playing a secret ball that no one realizes is as good as it is.

Try the Tour Soft. That is the ball that replaced the NXT. You might really like it.
  13. Played one today in windy and cool conditions. Was really surprised at the distance and accuracy! Time to use up the Pro V's.

I’m a pro v man, but the last couple of colder wetter months I’ve been playing AVX balls.
They fly a little further than the pro v but they don’t provide the same stopping power around the greens.
I love the fact that they come in yellow, hopefully one day Titleist will make pro vs that colour too.
    Well done Titleist.

Love the AVX starting using them at the start of Autumn when the light was poor and wanted a yellow premium ball to replace my pro v1x, great ball less spin off my driver so don't slice so much, playing off 19 H'CAP so don't spin irons anyway, extra distance helps as a senior player,

Ah, then we have the AVX. Yes I played V1s and V1xs for as long as they’ve been out. I’ve tried just about every manufacturer out there, but always came back to ProVs. One of the primary reasons I was trying other balls was for the brighter more visible yellow color that I like for ease of locating. I tried the Tour models which were pretty good especially for the price. But I feel more confident about my shots with the ProVs. When I got my first sleeves of AVX, I was psyched they were yellow, but when I played them they hit all the right notes for me. I love to work the ball every which way I can imagine and these things just get it right. Now I hear they are releasing yellow ProVs...ahhhh...more insanity. I love this game. Thank you Titleist.

  19. Got some the other day along with the new Pro V - anxious to get out and try them when the weather breaks - I line on OH so it will be a while.

I’m a high spin player naturally so the AVX with its lower spin is perfect for my almost 60 year old game.
  21. Used the AVX at the very end of last season and rung up 3 birdies in 9 holes. Great distance and green side feel. And, I love the way it feels off the putter.

Used the avx for a few rounds this year and saw some more distance from my normal yardages and they ball felt really good. Still gonna continue to test vs my standard pv1
