  2. Played the Tour Speed you set me, I like the distance, the feel off the club is great. My scores have dropped a few strokes, the only thing I had a little trouble with is stopping the ball on the green. I really like the ball probably just have to play the ball more to figure my touch around greens!!
  3. I would first like to say thank you for the opportunity to play the new Tour Speed. I have played 4 rounds with 2 of the 3 balls you sent me. I have 1 more to use.
    During the 4 rounds I have scored 68, 74, 75, 71. I am 74 years old with a index of 6.4.
I find the Tour Speed ball to be a better fit for my slow swing speed than the Tour Soft and prior Tour Speed. I am a feel player and am getting 10 more yards on drives with more control on putts. This is the best ball for my game. I highly recommend it for all slow to medium swing serious players. Buy it play it enjoy your round.

I played three rounds with the sleeve of Titleist Tour Speed balls I received in the mail.
I loved testing Titleist. I had some of my best scores. I noticed the biggest difference in chipping and putting.
I was hitting greens and dropping long putts. Also the TPU cover is very durable and reactive.
I love these balls. Can’t wait to buy my own dozen.
  5. I played the TourSpeed last week with great results. First off, I am a high handicap player that is 76 years old with a driver swing speed of only 82-85. So the TourSpeed fit my game perfectly. I played a full round with the same ball and only noticed a small scuff mark from hitting an overhanging branch. Other then that, I was impressed. I don't know what has changed in the cover but I like it.
I feel that I was able to compress the ball well getting a little more distance on average over the TM Soft Responce ball that I was playing. I do like the price point of this ball also. I am a believer and will play this for the rest of the year.

After switching mid season last year to the Tour Speed from Pro V1 mostly because I won a box at a outing I was immediately impressed. Then I received the new Tour Speed from TT last week and had a tee time booked for the next day already. The course was pretty open so it worked out perfectly that I was able to hit multiple balls a couple of times for a great comparison. Various times throughout the round I compared it to my other Tour Speed, some Pro V1x, and my “spring ball” which is made by the company who made Nikes balls for them years ago. First of all the new ball blows the previous mentioned spring ball in every area except price but that’s apples to oranges. Onto the Comparison to the Pro V I found the Tour Speed to spin slightly less and that for me was a good thing. The tour speed was much straighter on miss hits, it also spun slightly less into the green but in a good way (for me). I have the ability to jerk a ball back but prefer to stop a ball within a few feet of my pitch mark and the Tour speed was absolutely the best of the ball I played for that. Now onto the new Tour Speed vs previous I’d say this is where the changes for me got smaller but definitely improved in a few areas, the sound off of the club and even more so the putter is much more what I prefer. This alone took it from maybe that one step bellow top shelf to as good as anything out there. The price is the next thing, as it may only be a few dollars less and if your only buying a dozen balls a year and just went to play a certain balls so your buddy’s think you cool then neither ball is probably right for you. If you are buying several dozen those savings add up quick. Lastly and maybe in a odd way my favorite thing had nothing to do with performance, it’s the size of the Tour Speed marking on the ball I found it easier to line up putts and my ocd when teeing a ball having it the same way every time. So Titleist took a very good ball and made it great in doing so they may cost them selves money with big brother at the top of the market.
  7. Found the TS much to my liking! Distance was great, Spin into greens was really good, but most important to me was the Feel! With irons especially, I could feel the ball compress up against the face! It doesn't get any better than that for me?

Last week Pro Kelly Murray and I were out early on Mangrove Executive course testing the new Titleist Tour Speed golf ball. Kelly, a Moe Norman protege with 104 long drive championships winner worldwide and I have much different swing speeds but our goal is the same. Put the ball in the hole in as few hits as possible. Remove. Repeat. We both found the ball a little firmer than normal, Kelly normally playing ProV1 with me playing Titleist Tour Soft. That said we found the Tour speed to be a half club longer distance wise, with excellent spin control. We both found the ball easy to work both ways and controlling loft well. Around the green we were able to check up our approach shots on command. At the end of nine Kelly’s ball had a few more marks on it even though all of his tee shots were perfectly on point. He was using Moe’s old forged Henry Griffiths irons while I was playing my TM SIMs. Tomorrow we will be back at it again. Stay tuned for results. Below is Kelly’s shot on the challenging 7th hole over water and twin traps to a strong sloping green . #titleistgolf, TM Golf.

I went out again this morning and tested the Titleist Tour Speed again from the shorter tees to test with different irons. I found, according to Flightscope and my Bushnell distance device similar results. No wind high humidity the ball carried 8.5 yds or almost one club further. I played a little lower trajectory. The ball spin rate was excellent a the mid to short irons hit and checked up within 5 feet. Excellent feel coming off the face of my TM SIM irons. The jury was mixed last week but todays results made me a believer. Putting aside the Titleist aTour Soft and going to the new Tour Speed.

  10. I have used the sleeve of Tour Speed golf balls you sent to me. During the first round with Tour Speed, I used the same ball for all 18 holes. The distance was excellent. The greenside spin was very good.
I am 67 and have played almost every ball Titleist has produced over the last 60 years. This is a great ball. It may not be better than the Pro V1 for everyone, but it is better for me.
I hope you make it in yellow.

Thanks for the sleeve of Tour Speed balls. I have been playing Tour Speed for about a year and have been very pleased with it. This morning I used the new version for the first time. I did not find it longer off the driver but it sure seemed longer off my irons. Some of my iron shots carried a good five plus yards longer than normal. While I am not one to “back-up” the ball on approach shots I found the rollout to be less than last year’s Tour Speed. The cover help up well. One ball was twice the victim of a cart path and still did not have to come out of play.
The ball also held it’s line surprisingly well on some stiff crosswinds. As soon as I run out of last year’s Tour Speeds I will be stocking up on this latest iteration. Thanks for inviting me to participate.

Thanks for including me in the seeding group for the new Tour Speed. This morning was the first time I was able to put it into play. I started with 45 mins of putting and chipping to get a feel for how the ball performed both on the green and around. The feel off the putter was to my liking as was the sound (SC Newport). I was able to control the ball well in chipping warm up around the green as far as distance control and felt the ball's grip to the wedge was effective based on where I was able to stop the ball relative to the hole. Next club hit was driver and distance was not different for me compared to the prior Tour Speed model I have been playing. In my opinion, the feel off irons, whether mid or short, was medium to medium soft. The course orientation happened to be mainly E/W and there was an 8-9mph wind from the west which certainly had an effect, but when pulling clubs to accommodate, my distances were as anticipated. On this particular day, I was able to get up and down 7 times for either par or a good bogey which was mainly due to rolling in putts of distances in the range of 5-8 ft and my confidence level when striking putts was high. This contributed to grinding out a 78 on a course where I have historically not scored too well. I will look forward to putting the new Tour Speed in play again tomorrrow and once I have exhausted the dozen prior model of Tour Speed balls I have, will enjoy this new model.

I enjoyed playing this new Tour Speed ball.
I'm over 60 years old, so I am not a fan anymore of high compression balls. I prefer the medium soft feel, and the Tour Speed had a very good feel to it, while still giving plenty of distance. Not mushy, and not hard either.
I usually play Titleist, but a while back I won six dozen Bridgestone Tour B RXS golf balls, so I'd been using those.
Thus, I can compare and contrast the two.
The Tour Speed feels quite similar as far as compression and softness to that RXS.
With driver, I think the Tour Speed spins a bit less, flies a bit lower on drives, goes a bit further on drives, and is a straighter ball on drives.
My normal ball flight with irons is a baby fade, so I've never had trouble stopping a ball on the green as long as it is a decent ball and the greens aren't rock hard. I do not have pro level skills of making a ball back up, but I usually have my shots into the green take one or two hops and stop. This ball does the job handily in that department.
The Tour Speed and the RXS felt and reacted similarly on pitch shots.
I think that the RXS has a slight edge in chipping, as it felt a bit softer and came off the face with more consistent distance, but that is not saying the Tour Speed was lacking. Tour Speed performed well. It's just that I've found the RXS to excel on chips.
Putting was excellent and true. I use a soft faced insert mallet putter, and Tour Speed performed very well. I was easy to get consistent distances after a bit of practice prior to the round.

Thank you for the opportunity to test the new TS.
Switched to the TS last year having previously played ProV1 and Velocity wanted to find something in the middle ground.
Excellent distance off the tee. Not as much spin as the ProV but a softer feel than the Velocity.
Like the feel of the ball with my irons, something that would provide me more distance without losing the feel of the ball. Having knee issues tend to not finish my swing as I should hanging back on the ball. Which this ball provided me what I was looking for.
Liked the feel around the greens. Can stop the ball when desired or let it run it out when playing a bump.
Very nice feel off my putter face SC.
All in all great ball, one that I will continue putting in my bag and playing for the foreseeable future.

    thank you Titileist.
  16. I started playing the TourSpeed in its initial year and have never looked back. Received a sleeve of the 2022 Speed a few weeks ago which I tested yesterday. The original was a perfect fit for my swing. Mid 90’s mph. HC 9,7. I noticed the biggest difference in the irons which appeared to travel higher throughout the irons. Driver did not seem to have a noticeable difference in elevation or rollout but that’s difficult for me to judge with any degree of accuracy. I love the little alignment arrow similar to what I have been marking for years on my ball but I add a horizontal line which use to square my putter face.

I went on a family vacation, there were three courses at our resort. I played two of them, I went early each morning and set up a putting drill. I used 4 balls a Pro-v1x ,Pro-v1 ,AVX and the new Tour speed you sent me. I asked several other golfers to try the drill and give me feed back. I like the way it putts, nice off the tee and soft off the irons, I enjoy the ball very much! Back to the putting drill, most golfers could tell very little difference in the balls off the putter face. Thanks for letting me test the balls!

I like the new Tour Speed and appreciate the opportunity to test them. I'm an 18+ handicap, and one of my biggest frustrations is hitting a good shot (for me) into a green and watching the ball just keep on rolling. This new TS seemed to hold the greens better, not roll as much, which for me is huge. Also, the ball felt good off the face of driver and irons, good distance etc. But the biggest thing - a ball that rolls less/holds the greens better is going in my bag.
  19. I used the new Tour Speed that Titleist sent me last weekend on a trip to Cooperstown, NY where my friends and I played Leatherstocking Golf Course. Starting late last fall I began using the (now) prior version of the Tour Speed and I really like it compared to my previous non-Titleist ball that I had been using. The prior gen Tour Speed gave me the distance I was looking for and enough spin around the greens to make me happy. The one downside of the prior-gen Tour Speed (if I had to nitpick) was sometimes the durability of the cover.

Fast forward to this past weekend when I used the new Tour Speed for my round at Leatherstocking. I found that it still gave me the distance and feel I had come to love from the model, but it definitely seemed to have a bit more durability which was a plus. Thanks for sending me a sleeve to try. Once I run out of my now dwindling supply of last year's Tour Speed model, I definitely be switching over to the new version.

I received my sleeve just before my son and I went on our Memorial Week golfing vacation. At the Wigwam Resort we played 4 different courses. Each day I started with the prototype Tour Speed golf ball.

We have played these courses for many years. This trip I was a little banged up. So my reduce swings weren't a hindrance. I was able swing a little slower and not lose any distance.

Also my shaping control was much better. I held greens that in the past I would end up hitting through the green.

Even on lay up shots on the long Pad 5's I could hit a long iron for position or a hybrid to take a skin or two away from my son.

My son won everyday we played. He said I played more in control than past golfing vacations.

That was the vote of confidence for me to make the new Tour Speed golf ball my first sleeve out of the bag!

Thanks Team Titleist for the chance to your new ball.

I played the tour speed and loved it. The sound off the club face was just like the pro v balls. About 8-12 yards, short irons great feel and ball checked very well. The feel off the putter was great. Can’t wait until the ball is on the market.. I’m a 18 handicap 79 year old..

I purchased several dozen of the "01" prototype urethane balls a couple of years ago. It was the forerunner of what became the Tour Speed. It became my weekday ball for it's straight distance off the tee and it's respectable manners around the greens and off the irons. The price point gave me an option for a great value in a ball that delivered good performance from a company with a reputation for good quality control.

The sample sleeve of the reformulated Tour Speed delivered the goods. As for distance, it was a good fit for my head speed (low 90s with the driver) and held sidespin in check. It's a good choice for accurate drives if you want a ball that is low spin off the tee and doesn't feel hard.

As for iron shots, the new Tour Speed delivered good stopping power. I play courses with firm Bermuda greens and need a ball that spins enough to check up on approach shots. I got the approach shot distances I expected. The ball stopped a few feet from it's pitch mark off my mid-irons and about where it landed off the shorter irons.

Around the green, I compared the new Tour Speed with the second generation AVX and the 01 prototype. All three balls stopped fairly close to each other off of pitch shots with my sand wedge. The AVX came off the face lower and the steeper descent angle of the Tour Speed balanced out the overall results. I found the new Tour Speed to be a good balance of feel and spin around the greens.

To summarize, I found the reformulated Tour Speed to deliver good distance and accuracy off the tee with the longer clubs. Sidespin was held in check. Off the irons, the Tour Speed delivered consistent distances and respectable stopping power. Around the greens, I was able to hit finesse shots with good results and no unexpected or undesirable roll outs. Tee shots have historically been my issue with scoring. I used to play straight distance type balls and sacrificed iron spin and short game control. Urethane covers made a big difference for my game and I leaned toward PV1x type balls to reduce long game spin while still having some stopping power into the greens. The new Tour Speed delivers those performance characteristics but feels softer on full shots, has a lower price point and is a good match for my swing speed. I enjoyed playing this ball and most importantly, I can score with it. I plan to put some in play.

Thank you team Titleist for sending me a sleeve to play. I was putting the ball in Play out in Hawaii and got to use it on numerous different courses and conditions.
I found that that I was getting about 5-8 yards more distance off the tee. The cover definitely seemed more durable than the last version. I also felt that it had great feel around the green despite seeming a little firmer. I will be putting this ball in my bag in the future. Aloha
