I scored a good deal on six boxes of the Tour Soft balls. Figured I would play these during the winter and save the ProV balls for summer. I'm actually enjoying the softer ball. Good performance as well!

When the temp goes down I just prefer a soft ball.

I agree with what Dale has said but here in Scotland another issue to factor is how wet the courses become during the Winter months. I often lose balls due to them totally plugging in the soft conditions, sometimes even on the fairway. With the greens also being soft stopping the ball is not as much of an issue either. As a result, after discussions with a Titleist fitter, I now play the Velocity ball during the Winter, with its high flight coupled with usually being less than half the cost of my usual Pro V1 x, (a Canny Scot).
But as Dale says "each to their own".

Throughout summer i play the pro v1 but as soon as it starts to get a bit wetter and colder i switch to the avx, probably personal preference but its what works for me

In the warmer weather here on Long Island I was gaming between the V! and V1X. However this time of year I have moved to the Tour Soft as it is softer for the cooler temps and get more roll out to compensate the loss of distance. And I do agree in Dales comment to adjust club selection to also compensate for the temps...

Agree with Dale V! Dale, correct me if I am wrong but I believe the Tru Feel is Titleist's lowest compression and softest feeling ball. With that said, I play my AVX year round including these frozen Winters in South GA :-)

Titleist ball experts have said, stick with the same ball year round and just understand the impact of changing conditions throughout the year. Adjust you club selection based on temperature and/or course elevation. That's the approach I use but I know there are others who like to switch.
