my 917 Surefit CG Weight Cavity Screw is stripped. My 3 wood screw goes in no problem so it is the screw itself. I cannot find a replacement anywhere. Went to a local shop and they said they do not have any. Looked online and cant find them. Where can I buy one of these? Or maybe a few to have as spares.

  2. I have the same problem. Did you ever find a replacement screw?

Hope that ye have got replacement cavity screws.
What I have been noticing while cleaning after ever round and practice range when I sumerse the woods and driver in water I been getting bubbles.
Then I back off the cavity screw and clean the treds of the cavity screws before retorqueing seems the reason for the cavity screw getting stripped is that it has dirt or small sand stones .
This will definitely cause the cavity screw to be stripped. Also clean the treds on the cavity female end.
Hope this helps or has anyone else run in to this

Looks like you are "screwed". Sorry, I could not pass that one up. I know it's very frustrating and even the Chinese after-market suppliers on ebay have not started making them. Call Titleist Customer Service (info at the bottom of the website). As soon as supplies run out, there will be no more since this weight system will not be on TSi models. If the head is stripped and not the screw, a replacement will not help. You might have to just epoxy the cap into the port and never change it again. Anyone with connections to a machine shop might consider making a batch and marketing them on-line. There is obviously some demand and money to be made.

Even though it is from a 917, your local pro shop should be able to get one through the local rep or direct from Titleist.

just a thought, I would take the set screw and wrench to Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace and look for it in the hardware misc. screws, nuts, and bolts area. There might be a match.

If not, always call a concierge......Good Luck.
  10. Any chance anyone was able to find one online, I was adjusting my driver yesterday from neutral to draw and long story short, lost my screw. @Titleist, any chance you have a spare one laying around, asking for a friend??:)
