  1. Hi Are the titleist AP1 716 slightly more forgiving and do they have a slightly bigger club face than the AP1 718 irons. Many thanks. JH

The 718 models would have slight improvements over the 716 models. Mostly minor cosmetic changes but Titleist, like all companies, improves their products from one release to the next. 716 to 718 are the same size. If you feel you cannot afford new 718's, there is nothing wrong with picking up a used set of 716's. Ideally, you do a free Titleist Thursday fitting to make sure you know what lie angle and shaft type works best for your swing. Then get what you can afford.
  3. I bought a new set of 716 AP1 to my spec in August. I have a hard time putting out $$$ for the latest and greatest when last years model will suffice for a big discount. Shop around and you will find it....you will love the 716 ap1. Get fitted!
  4. Many thanks Bill w.

I replaced my 716 AP1s with 718 AP1s this July. The 718 AP1s are noticeably more forgiving than the 716s. They are also longer and have a more solid feel at impact. The club heads are basically the same size.
