I felt like Titleist was on the leading edge in the active recoil channel and then improving it. Now it is gone from the TS2 and TS3 yet other major companies have adapted it (hammerhead-TM). Is there a reason it was all the hype on the 915/917 and now its gone from the driver but remains on the fairway woods?

Hi, The chassis of the TS metalwoods was built from the ground up and this new chassis allowed us to eliminate the ARC in the drivers because we could move the CG even lower and further back. This also allowed us to dial in sound and feel in the new head. On the fairways, we designed a new Active Recoil Channel (ARC) which allowed us to dial in more speed on off center hits. Since the fairways have turf interaction, we kept it in the fairways to help with shots hit low on the face.
