  1. Like all the other Team Titleist members out there I am really excited about the new Titleist T-Series Irons...I was trying to find out more about them...Does anybody know the specific differences in the T-100, T-200 & T-300?...Which ones are designed for the low, middle and high handicap players?...It is time for a new set of Titleist Irons so I am really anxious to find out more about them...Would appreciate any info that there might be...

Based on the released pictures, the T100 will replace the AP2, the T200 will replace the AP3, and the T300 will replace the AP1. You can view the specs on the old AP series and get an idea as to what the T series specs will be. T100 less forgiving, better feel down to T300 more forgiving, largest clubhead size with less feel.
  3. I would like to know more but titleist always is hush hush secrete agent man quiet!
  4. Dale...Thank you for pointing that out to me...I will certainly take a look......nothing like a little help from one Team Titleist member to another...Thanks again! Paul

I think someone else asked this in another thread but I am dying to know the status on the T-MB line ….. I cannot seem to match it up with any of the pictures we have seen publicly so far …….

They are being replaced with the U500/U510 and won't be offered in a complete set like the T-MB's were.

I think Dale has got it right. From the images alone, the T-100 looks like a players club, T-300 is the "game improvement" entry, and the T-200 has attributes of both.
  8. When will they be in the pro shop so we can hit them

Saturday I attended my club fitting. I was looking to replace my 714 AP1's. I tested both the AP1's and AP3's. After hitting both, the fitter pulled out the T300 he had just received in prior to the fitting. I was amazed at how much better my consistency with the distance and ball placement with T300. We both decided it was best for me to wait until the new irons come out before spending the $$$. Love the new club.

My first thought when I used my new 718 AP1s a year ago was that the person who designed these was going to have a real hard time improving these in the next AP1 series. I thought the only way to improve them would be to make them look more like a blade while maintaining the forgiveness. Assuming the T300 replaces the AP1 it looks like Titleist has gone in the other direction. They have made it look more like a game improvement iron. The top line appears thicker than the 718 AP1 and there is a lot going on behind the club face including an appendage that looks like a sundial. I think I'll be holding on to my 718 AP1s for a while.
  11. Absolutely Norm! Did not like that sundial appendage either. I just upgraded from 714's to 718 AP1's and will be holding on to them also. However I'm trying to find out from someone who owns them just how to keep that very pronounced under cut cavity behind the club face clean and dry. Any thoughts. I have thrown this out a couple of times but no response yet.

I haven't carried a 5 iron since the 714 AP1's. At my low point, I added a 27 hybrid to use in lieu of the 6 iron on "bad days". For the 718's I went through a fitting for the AP1/AP3. The AP3 gave me the best result. In this past season I was hitting the 6I as far as the 27 H. To note, there are other aspects of my conditioning that are improving even at age 69. Being LH, there is never an option other than a 7 iron for fittings. I went ahead and ordered a T-300 5 iron with a similar weight shaft (NIP 950 GH R flex) as my AP3's. Without regard for distance, the 5 Iron was consistently 10 mph faster ball speed than the AP3 6 Iron. That's the widest spread in ball speed between all my AP3's. The T-300 will be a gamer, and between the "Max Impact"or tungsten weighting something is generating ball speed over the 718's. I'm ok focusing on results over looks and this 5 Iron will allow me to keep my AP3's for an extra cycle.
Now to just retool hybrids/fairways and dare I say, driving irons, to reset my gaps at the top end.

Best to go to a certified Titleist Club fitter Paul. The new T-Series Irons give us SO many options I think you will see players of all abilities start using blended sets more. For example, a player might like a little more forgiveness in the long irons and choose to go with the T200s 3-5 iron and then 6-W in the T100s. I just got fitted for the T200s 5-W and added a T300 53W. I'm a 19 so don't just go by handicap try them all and build a set that works for your game.
