  1. Is anyone else having problems with the legs on the players 5 bag? Mine do not stay closed when I'm carrying the bag they just hang loose almost in the open position. I love this bag, but the legs are getting in the way when I'm walking. I have had the bag since April and it seems to be getting worse. Any quick fixes you can recommend? Do I just need to send back to Titleist? Help is greatly appreciated.

Dr O. There is a band that is in the middle of the two wires that attach to the legs. Slide that band more up to the top, closer to where the wires connect to the leg. That should increase the tension and fix the problem.
  3. I will give that a try, thanks Dale V.
  4. Thanks Dale. I’ll give it a try
  5. Thanks Dale. I’ll give it a try
  6. Hey. That plastic band doesn’t seem to want to move for me. Ideas

I had to tap mine with a hammer.
  8. I just got a Hybrid 5 bag and noticed legs don’t close. Then I saw only one wire was in that plastic piece. I noticed that the loose wire had a ding in it almost like a kink. Is that part of design? I don’t think so. I snapped the wire into that plastic and now legs work. This is day 1 of bag and thinking that it should probably be replaced. Unless that wire is normally like that.

Yes, if you pop the plastic piece off you will see that both wires have a identical "pinch" that is designed to keep the plastic piece from sliding down the wires too easily. If your wires keep popping out of the plastic, you can take duct tape and wrap the plastic clip to hold the wires in better.
  10. You may have to wrap this plastic piece with electrical tape to get it to stay in place if you tighten it too much. I had to on my Players 14. My players 5 is fine. I also had to rig up my 4UP bag with tape. I'm sure it's an issue they will correct before the next line of bags.

  11. Yes! Just noticed the droopy legs yesterday. Hope ther is a fix. Had the bag since May
  12. Just bought the Players 5 bag yesterday and played my first round with it today. Love the bag, but discovered that I also have the droopy legs as well. It actually caught my leg as I was walking and it took me by surprise. Did moving that band fix the problem? I really don't want to return it as it was the last all black bag in the shop.
  13. I just purchased the Players 5 bag yesterday and took it out today for the first time. My bag also has the droopy legs which took me by surprise when the leg clipped me as I walked down the fairway. I love this bag and do not want to return it as it was the last all black bag in the shop. Did moving the band help the others who posted on this thread? Dale V - I will try your suggestion, just curious if that took care of it with the others.
  14. This is an older post but experienced the same drooping leg issue with the 2021 stadry 4 bag. Just wanted to confirm that tapping that plastic piece up between the wires did remedy the situation and they now stay closed when carrying with both straps on. It did take a bit of force with a hammer but a little trick to not damage it is to use the rounded edge of a wooden spoon and butt it up to the bottom piece of the plastic while the bag is laying horizontally on a table. Then simply hammer the end of handle piece so the plastic shifts upwards on the bag(Try not to miss :D). About 1” up should do it but you can go bit by bit and just keep checking. Hope this is helpful!

I have found that on these newer bags, its easier to pop the plastic clip off on one side to adjust it up. I had to use pliers to pinch it back on. I had one bag where the clip popped off on its own a few times but some black electrical tape took care of that problem.

I just recently tightened it again. I noticed one leg was beginning to droop, not bad and not enough that i would have noticed while carrying it. I was at Pinehurst and noticed it while the caddie was walking. Did another tweak and it seems to be better again.
  17. I have the Hybrid 14 stand bag and it is beautiful, BUT it has the drooping leg issue as well. I adjusted the tension slide but now it wants to “pop” off.

It’s absolutely ridiculous that Titleist would miss something this obvious in QA.
  18. I have the Players 14 stand bag and the wire connecting the legs to the base of the stand has disconnected from the base, so the legs do not open fully. Is there any way to reconnect the wire that controls the legs back into the base of the bag?

    Dale,

Thanks for the tip I was having problems with legs on my stand 5 bag. I tapped the block and the legs snap right up.

Just bought a Players 4 bag and the legs are drooping. It looks like a known issue. Is there anything that can be done? I've tried to move the retainer up, but doesn't seem to fix the problem.

I would keep moving it up higher until you get enough tension to solve the issue. BTW, i have seen it on numerous other brands also so its an engineering design issue that is common across anyone using tension wires to retract their bag legs.

  23. Hey everyone. I had this same problem and fixed it by hitting the clip/slider pinching the tension rods together up about 1.5 inches. Seems to do the trick.
  24. Hit the clip up about 1-2inches and solved the problem
