Tour staff bag, I don't get it for amateur golfers, golfers who play once a week or whatever. A few days ago I played TPC River Highland and got paired up with a couple of guys I didn't know. Nice guys is all I'll say. Anyways, one of them was gaming this gigantic TM tour staff bag. And I'm thinking to myself, why would anyone wanna lug that thing around every where they go? Looks so big and heavy. I can understand the Pros having them but why would a regular golfer like myself want the burden of carrying that thing around. I don't get it.

Before I walk outta the house, I look at the weather for the next 6 hours. If all looks clear, my bag is loaded with stuff I only need; tees, balls, range finder, $20 and bug spray. If it's gonna rain, i'll pack my rain gear. This can all fit easily in a stand bag.

If I offend anyone with this post, my apology. If you enjoy gaming them, then all the power to you.

    Cheers

  2. I have the midsize staff bag. I carry everything with me. However, I can’t walk 18, so I don’t have to drag it around. That’s exactly what I’d be doing. LOL

I have a Mid Staff bag which I prefer for several reasons, first being the 6 way top. I live in a community with 3 courses and own my own cart which the bag never comes off the cart. The Mid Staff can take the bouncing around that happens with constant cart driving. However, when the Mid Staff has had its day, I would be open to considering a Club 7 Cart bag. To your point though, if I were a walker or a walker who transited around different courses, I would have a stand bag and I certainly would not be luging around a tour staff bag.

I have the Titleist Mid Staff Bag and use it when I am riding or I put it on my pull cart. I love it for the fact I can get clubs out very easily and I like the pockets for storing stuff. If I decide to walk which I prefer to do, I'll just go with my carry bag.

I currently use the Staff Stand bag and really like it. It has plenty of room for everything you I need to take with me. I also have a Staff bag..name on it and everything but I agree with the OP. There's no reason to every take it out to the course. Sure, it's cool, but I feel like you should be a staff player to use it on the course. Just my opinion. However, I have recently considered a cart bag and I did ever switch, I'd go with the Mid Staff only because to me they look much nicer than the other cart bags.

I have been using my mid size staff bag on my bag boy tri-swivel push cart. It is the perfect bag for the job. Built to take a pounding. I prefer to carry one of my Titleist carry bags but at this time I can not. Had a total right hip replacement. As I build strength walking and pushing. The bag on the cart enables me to play while providing a stable base while walking.

Well you might say it is a matter of choices and taste. I have three bags. A tour staff Folds of Honor bag which I use for special occasions and tournaments, a midsize tour bag which I use for every day play which fits nicely on a riding or push cart and a lightweight carry bag with fold up legs (when I fly and take my clubs I was something that fits in my hard case. Also I can pack shoes and some clothes and this can be my checked baggage when I fly certain airlines.) At 72 I have pulmonary issues that prevent me from walking 18 holes of golf, so my Doctor says be thankful that you can at least ride a cart and play golf. I love my red/white/blue tour staff bag and do not feel out of place on the course with it and my TT head cover goes well with it. The Titleist staff bag is not as big as some tour bags I have seen out there. Me, I play golf three to four times a week and that is the main reason I retired in 2011. Golf is fun Speedy and I enjoy my bags. And no, you did not offend me. What kind of bag do you have?
