PuttView is the best no doubt about it. Strakaline is so inaccurate. Always has things missing or the greens aren’t right which makes it completely useless. PuttView has better info.

Conquer with Strackaline. I use it to notate what club was used and where I missed.

I’m fairly new to yardage books and it takes some time to get used to but can see it helping me on course management.

I agree on Stracka...very good and lots details....

George Lucas (not to be confused with Star Wars George) used to produce ALL the tour books back in the day until one of the tour book companies bought him out when he retired.

Strackaline is the one to use. Plenty of space to make notes and just a clean design.

Another vote for Strackaline. I actually use it more to help judge the wind than anything else. On each hole they have a compass and it is easier to navigate tricky winds if you check the weather forecast. The green heatmap is also a huge help for me

I highly recommend Strackaline. Includes both yardage and green maps. The heat maps make it easy to gauge slope. Legal for tournament play. Golflogix books are good also.

I currently have Puttview books for both of my home courses. In the past I have ordered both Puttview and GolfLogix books and then used my wife’s scrapbook tape gun/paper cutter to combine the two. I have some Strackaline books for courses that I play frequently also.

If you can’t find a book that has both distances and greens maps the key is to decide what is more important to you. Most of us likely need help on the greens rather than the distance. A range finder or GPS in the cart will give you the distances you need (I’ve moved towards just looking at the front/middle/back of the green and ignoring the distances to the pin).

Also some of the handheld GPS/phone apps are coming loaded with the greens maps which is something to explore.
