It is often overlooked but many ametures pull the club back when starting their swing. It makes you dip your lead shoulder and slide your hips making you off balanced.

Pushing back is the much better option. Pushing the club back at stsrt of swing keep shpulders on a even plane. Helping the club be square at impact. Analogy: imagine you have two plates of food on your shoulders(one on each) you don't want to spill them so you push back to keep them both on your shoulders.

This may sound like a silly tip but my pro said he sees this so much among ametures. Let me know if this works for you below\/

I like to keep my swing thoughts simple. My key has always been the shoulder turn.......without much else.

As the Swing Surgeon states... "In da mitt and tru da tree" The shoulders take it back and the hips bring it down. A lot of other fallacies like "the Big 90 degree backswing" or people lifting the lead foot on the backswing.
