Hole 10 Chateau Whistler, a dramatic downhill drop onto a relatively short par 3. Everyone in our foursome’s heart was still racing after being ‘warning charged’ by a bear eating dandelions with her two cubs on hole 8. My buddy Carson asks me to take a video of him on the tee box of 10 because ‘he’s gonna jar this one’... hits the green but a little work to do. I’m up and with a strong headwind take a little much club especially considering the distance and downhill (pw at 117yards) and hit a little knockdown to try to avoid the wind a bit. After I hit it the wind takes it and it hung up in the air, going way to high for the trajectory i hit. Carson’s dad Geoff says ‘That’s right at it’ and a big clang and the ball disappears. All of us confused and Geoff and Jordan still have to hit. We have and idea what happened but now one saw the ball, so??? Race down to the green through the trail come running on the green and she’s tucked right in there!! First hole in one and the tequila was flying. The course was nice enough to stencil the flag for me which added to a great experience at a beautiful track!
