I am in utter disbelief. I approach the game of golf through the lens of continuous improvement employing the mantra of “hit enough good shots to keep you coming back”. On July 11th, at The Links at Echo Springs, I took my friends advice to take an extra club from 165 due to a gusty headwind. I hit the purist 6 iron I’ve ever hit and thought that I had blown well past the hole. I knew it was directly at the flag but I thought the distance was wrong. My friend, Tyson, the club recommender and cameraman swore up and down that he saw the ball disappear. Driving up to the green, I saw no balls on the green so thought it was time to grab a wedge and my putter for the inevitable up and down attempt for par. Much to my surprise, I was urged to check the hole by my friends and there it was… my first ace. Thankfully my friend was kind enough to capture the entire walk up on video. Incredible experience made better by the company on the course.
