Just saw on PGATour.com that Steve Stricker will be the captain for the 2017 U.S. President's Cup team. I certainly think he is a great selection as captain, but I'm concerned that this may eliminate him from consideration for a Ryder Cup captaincy.

Who better for Ryder Cup 2020 at Whistling Straits in his home state of Wisconsin?

You could not find a better representive for this Gentleman's game.
Mr Stricker has always been a top shelf person and a great example for us all.

Great to see Stricker as the choice for captain. As opposed to taking him out of consideration as captain of the Ryder Cup team, maybe it will give him the experience to be even more valuable.

Agreed, Steve stricker has been a great example for all new golfers, on and off the course.

I wonder if the powers that be are preparing him for captaincy in 2020 in his home state. Seems like it would be a good fit. Either way the US needs a win in the Ryder Cup.

Interesting. I always thought he'd be captain of the Ryder Cup team at Whistling. I think he'd be better suited for Wisconsin, but I'll be routing for him against the internationals.
