This has been my best year for golf. Approx. 3 weeks ago I hit a slump , a big one Pulling my arms into my body during down swing, my head moving with my shoulders , not shifting my weight and hitting off my heals. Could be 1 of the above , a mixture or all the above. I am planning to take some time away from the game to get my head straight again. Any ideas?

Since its the rainy season for you, maybe Aruba and lots of strong, fruity drinks.

Could you be standing too close to the ball?
  4. Dave,
Never one to be controversial, my top recommendation would be to find good, professional, PGA coach and pour your heart out to him or her!!
You can spend eons trying to find out what's going wrong on your own - a pro can often pinpoint the cause(s) in minutes.
    Good luck

Some good advice there, but also nothing wrong with a brief vacation away from the clubs especially if you're becoming a little mind bent over golf. People like us who live in FL and other sunbelt locales and can play year-round need to build in a break here and there. Even the pros don't play 52 weeks a year.

I agree with the break idea. Come back refreshed! I might still stop by the practice green though and keep the putting stroke in shape.
