Hello Team Titleist. The time has come for me to put new grips on my clubs. I have usually used Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360s. They are a bit scarce now, so I am interested in what other grips you all are using. Please give me some suggestions on which grips I should switch to and why you like them. Thank you.

I'm a big fan of the MCC Plus 4. I use the standard size for all my irons and wedges. For my hybrid, fairway and driver, I use a midsized grip; I find the midsized grip helps me from gripping those clubs too tightly.

I like how the grip gives me an easy visual to orient the club face properly. One thing to consider for those clubs with an adjustable hosel, when the grip is set initially, make sure you have it in the orientation you've committed to. If you're one to change the hosel setting frequently, the grip alignment will change which can throw off your visual alignment.
  3. Glad to read a solid feedback on the MCC+4. I have been waiting to bite the bullet for some time now.

I too am a long-time Golf Pride Tour Velvet guy but if I had to switch to something else because GPTV were unavailable, I would probably go Lamkin Crossline as the closest thing to match the Tour Velvets.

Been using Winn DriTac for years now. Downside is that they aren’t a durable as some other grips, but they are great in hot, humid conditions which is what I get most of the time, living in the south.

  7. I've been using the Iomic sticky 2.3 for several years and love them. I like a little extra tackiness to a grip myself. i've used golf pride before but I think the Iomic is worth the few extra dollars.

How well do Iomic sticky grips last? Do they respond well to occasional soap and water cleanings? I'm using GP MCC align grips and find they last a bit more than a season (for me, 12-15 rounds plus some practice sessions) with a couple of light clean ups along the way. Oh, and don't use HOT water with the MCC grips, just warm or cooler.

Arccos Smart Grips are available in GPTV. It's a great introduction to golf analytics and improving your course strategy. It's more expensive than the standard grips but an excellent investment. Good luck.

+1 on the Arccos grips…the only downside, you can’t put them on with an air compressor so difficult to get back off…I tend to switch clubs/shafts a lot, so since these have the chips built in, would need to move them from shaft to shaft…It’s doable, just difficult…I use my original screw tops now on Golf Pride grips…they are back in stock now it seems.

Always Golf Pride MCC +4 standard size in black/red since many years but thinking of switching to softer grips. Don’t know if i will try the new GPX grips, GP tour wrap 2g in red or the Iomic sticky 2.3?

Golf Pride MCC (New Decade) in Midsize for my wedges and irons. I like a corded feel. Have been playing them for years, changing them out every 3-4 months in my wedges. The rest, at least twice a year. I use Golf Pride Z-Grips on my TSi3 driver, TSi2 4W and TSi3 hybrid, in regular size with additional wraps. I change the driver grip at least 4 times a year. I change grips for many players I know as well as virtually all the customers who purchase grips through the pro shop (where I work). Of all the hundreds, maybe thousands of various grips I have installed, I still have not found a grip that suits me better than the standard MCC New Decade in midsize for my wedges and irons. I play the Z-Grip, though, in my woods, for a little variety, but do also I like the way they feel on my longer clubs for some reason.

Probably in the minority here, but I love Winn DriTac Wrap grips (standard).
  14. Just ordered a set of Golf Pride ZGrip Cords! (14 total--- I like the idea of having 1 or 2 extra) I am super excited for them to arrive as my current setup is a mash up of Tour Velvets, MCC's, and Titleist stock grips from varying years... I know, gross... I am aware cords are not for everyone but my hands are basically sandpaper due to the field of employment I am in.

I saw the Arccos grips recommended earlier in the thread. I use the Arccos Caddie Smart Sensors + Arccos Link (hated playing with my phone in my pocket). They took 9 holes to get used to while looking down the top line and effected the weight in absolutely no way. Would like to know how the actual Arcoss built in grips play!!

Good luck with your purchase. May a lower handicap await you!!

The Arccos grips work well and no worries losing any of the sensors during play.

I went with: ZGRIP Patriot Standard Blue this year. Will report on the feel as I also have been a tour velvet player forever

Golf Pride Tour Velvet + 4 for me. Love the raised lower hand. I have had to add build up tape and made these similar with a standard gptv grip. Bought several extra now so will not run out n for the next several cycles.

I also prefer the Golf Pride 360 on my woods.

Lampkin Crossline midsize all day for me on all my clubs. Great grip and holds up for a long time.

I use the Lamkin crossline, its a very common and easy to find grip that is high quality.

Have you ever thought about getting two clubs re-griped. One with the Golf Pride MCC+4 and the other with a different grip of your choice. Try them out and you're only out 1 grip and not a whole set.

I agree with a lot of the others who have posted. I have Golf Pride Midsized MCC plus 4s on all of my clubs but it is a personal thing....

Hey! Similar to other answers, I prefer Lamkin grips. I have a mix of classic Crosslines and the new Crossline 360s. I find them very simple, grippy, and not too distracting. Chords tend to rip up my hands.

I also like to replace them at least at the beginning of the season, if not midway through given how much they get used.

    Thank you!

GolfPride MCC +4, midsize. Have used them for years. They last a bit longer than most other brands. Keep them clean with mild soap/water and a light brush and towel. GolfPride grips are the only ones I use, including their putter grips, SNSR tour grips for me. Midsize, again of course. Old hands need all the help they can get. They can last a full season, if you keep them cleaned. Not a fan of Lamkin or Winn. Do not last.

I have used the GP MCC +4 for about 2 years and I love them, have them on all on my clubs except the putter of course.

Agreed, use the Tour Wrap 2G as well in white, they feel amazing and look amazing! Also, oddly easy to keep clean for a white grip.
