  1. How many of you remember your first exposure to Titleist clubs? I remember being in junior golf and seeing a Titleist T-Rex driver in my friends bag and thinking “man this kid must be good!” I’ll never forget that and instantly being obsessed with Titleist equipment. Now over 25 years later I’m still just as excited when I see something new.

  2. I remember working at a course that had a pro on staff with Titleist and thinking how good he must be, and how lucky he was to get new clubs every season.

I won a set of DCI Oversize Golf Irons for winning my flight at a golf tournament in late 90's. Never played them well and went thru a bunch of brands but came back to Titleist around 2008. Finally settled on 100% Titleist after getting properly fitted.

My first exposure to Titleist clubs was in the early 1980's when I bought a set of forged irons at a Las Vegas golf for $ 150.00. I didn't play well with them and swapped for a set of DCI's which I played for a long time.

First time I hit one was at a golf show either late 90s or just around 2000. Just thought they made the best looking clubs at the time and back then there was a certain guy about the same age as me that was taking the golf world by storm that was playing them before his switch.

It wasn't until many years later that I started playing more and had a decent enough job to afford to get fit and better quality clubs around 2012 that I made the switch to all Titleist equipment. Haven't played anything since and not looking to change. Have already instilled Titleist into my son who starts high school golf this year. He won't even think about anything but Titleist. He's also come around on FJ apparel and shoes.
  6. Went to buy a new TM driver in the early 2000s and they had a 975J driver. Bought that and every driver since has been Titleist.

My first complete set of golf clubs of any kind was a set of Titleist DTR's. It was a 2 through PW set. Years later I ended up giving the set to a good friend who took up the game. I've had multiple Titleist iron sets since the DTR's and there's always excitement when there are new models that come out.

Professional ball, 975 driver, DCI’s morphed into my current all Titleist bag of AP’s, TS driver/fairways/hybrids, Scotty and Vokes. Love ‘em all. Love the group of people behind them.

My first Titleist clubs were 755 set of irons.

I loved those clubs and daydream about how well i played with them for about 5 years.

My very first Titleist club was the 975J. I think a friend had the D when it was all the rage, but the J was all I could find. I really liked that club, but then I bounced from manufacturer to manufacturer for many years. I did have the 690 mbs for several years and then bounced around a million iron sets. I distinctly remember when over half of my bag was Titleist, I really wanted to do whatever I could to make the whole bag Titleist. It seemed to exude quality and class while TM and cally kept pumping out hype clubs every 6 month cycle. Once I had a full Titleist bag, I have never bought a different manufacturer’s club. My new CNCPT -04 irons should be here 2/13 and I cannot wait!

I'm going way back. Way, way back;1973.I was 17.My first set of woods, were actual woods, and they were Titleist. Couldn't tell you the model, but what I do remember was that they were a deep red/oxblood color.I loved them.Driver, 3 wood 5 wood.
  13. I had a Tour Model 3 when I was in my teens. Someone had stuck a metal insert into the face as well. Those persimmon woods were something else!
  14. I was a junior, 11 or 12 and had always wanted Titleist clubs since seeing the club pro with a full bag! My parents bought me a Vokey design 260.04 lob wedge I had been going on about for months. Didn't know anything about bounce at the time, but i made it work. I wore that thing out down to the bare metal and pretty much refused to retire it haha. I still have it today!

I was fit for some 990’s back in high school. Had been playing Titleist balls for years already. Those irons were my first custom set. Amazing how far tech has come from that day or basically hitting off a lie board to the current trackman fittings and ease of changing shafts/specs.

Nothing better than a new Titleist golf ball. Back in the 70's I played the Titleist tour balata and currently play the Pro V1.
  17. Growing up with garage sale clubs, I was never really exposed to them until a Golf Shop opened in my small town (25,000 people) In there, the pro had a few test irons and one was the DCI and the other was a cally RCH90. My Friend loved the cally and I remember how beautiful the font was on the Titleist so I get the test 5 iron after it was done. After that, it took me 10 years until I bought a set of AP1 irons.

Great topic which really brings back memories!
  18. I just purchased the TSi2 driver and it is amazing. Plenty forgiving with a crisp sound

I remember trying a demo club at my local range.... 975J-VS.

    The rest is history!
  21. Around the time AP3 was released, I was playing TM gear and wanted to explore other brands. Found myself at national fitting centre and got a full bag fitting. Ended up with a full bag of titleist clubs but I most impressed with the wedge fitting. The blind wedge testing in different scenarios was very eye opening. First wound out sm7 50° literally 1 inch from a hole in one (Turnberry executive course). The 60°14K ended up being so good for me at the time I stamped “cheat club” on it lol. Vokeys have been the goto since, tried a few other clubs throughout the bag but I’ve found myself back to full bag of titleist and never giving them up!
