Can you go to other courses and shoot the same score as you do at your home course. Do you even shoot better or worst?

Can your game travel, would love to hear what you guys have to say Nate

For me, generally no. My home course is short, and as a result I feel my GHIN is a few strokes lower than it should be, based upon my experience when playing longer courses.

BUT, I’ve had a few rounds where my putter turned into gold, and I’ve played as well as I do at my home course. I guess if it all comes down to playing to your potential, it happens for me once in a while when on the road.
  3. I would say for the most part my game travels with me. I don't typically play the same course day in and day out. My league is the same course, but I only play it one day a week. Other days are played at various courses across MI or to other states when I travel for work.

I can double bogey a hole any time, anywhere.

So yes, my "game" travels just fine, thank you.

My cap travels well. The course I play is pretty narrow, and pretty tough. We have a lot of OB, hazards, uneven lies and some pretty undulating greens. Most of the time I play better when I go to different courses.

Hi Barry: I like how my swing has the same fault no matter what course I play. Hard pull to the left! So at least I am consistent.

My game travels relatively well, for the most part. There have been times where I haven't been playing well at home, and played really well (lower scores) on the road. Other times, it's just the opposite. I haven't hit a ball in the past 2 weeks, and I'm headed to Scottsdale next Wednesday to play 5 rounds. We shall see what happens then!

Generally, I play better when I play a new course. I concentrate more. Scores are usually better because I pay more attention to my pre shot routine and reading greens.

I don't always play the same course so my game travels pretty well.

50/50.. It depends on who shows up but I try to play a little smarter when playing a new course..

I play a lot of different courses throughout the season and usually my scores are all within a reasonable +/- range. So overall I would say my game travels fairly well. Although I do struggle at times when playing a new course where the sight lines aren't very good and I don't have a course yardage book. When I'm not sure where I should be aiming I struggle making a confident swing.

Home course is short but TIGHT. Keeping the ball in the fairway is key to a low score at home. I find that when I take my game on the road to a course with more open fairways I can score better. I also tend to grind/concentrate more on the road than I do at home.

My index tends to travel pretty well. My home course is one of the tougher tests in the area and requires discipline. It is generally tight and filled with environmental areas and forced carries. There are very few holes that offer chance to relax. I personally love the challenge but there are many people that do not like this type of golf. We have a LOT of great talent come out of our club and an excellent Jr program.

The course received an updated rating last year. They removed the very back (black) tees...they were rarely used. The blue tees that we play are 6500 yards with a rating and slope of 72.7 / 139
