  1. Just got back from my Palm Springs trip. 6 rounds in 4 days.

2019 Pro V1’s were in the bag for the first time on this trip.

Day 1: Classic Club - Landed at 10:30am - Lunch a Time classic Club 11:45 - Tee off at a Classic Club 12:30. Probably the best customer service I’ve ever had at a course. Loved the hospitality and the course Day 2: Shadow Ridge - Teed off at 7:30am. - 2nd 18 teed off at 12:45pm - What a gem. We paid $125 for two people to play all the golf we could in a day (Evenpar.com). This course was fair, in great shape, challenging and great service. Day 3: SilverRock - Teed off at 8:30am. - 2nd 18 teed off at 2:10pm - The most well maintained course I’ve ever played. Highly recommend it. We used another Evenpar.com unlimited golf coupon. $80 a person or something. Course is really tough but it was amazing. I could play this course 50 times and still want to come back I feel. Day 4: Escena. - Teed off at 11am. - No driving range and overall a total blah course. I did play with two women who were good players (the best we played with the entire trip), played quick and were super friendly. Enjoyed the company not the course.

We stayed away from PGA West and La Quinta courses this time because we usually play there. Westin Mission Hills is also underrated and usually really reasonable to get on.

    Comments please!

Hi Adam, We may have crossed paths as we just got back from playing in Palm Desert as well. The courses were still in top notch shape and less crowded as the snow birds are leaving to go back home. We played Firecliff at Desert Willow and two other courses that we had not played previously. Indian Ridge CC and SilverRock. We enjoyed all three and would love to play them again. At both Indian Ridge and SilverRock, we played in about 3-3.5 hours as there were very few on the course and we thoroughly enjoyed the courses.
There are so many good courses in the Palm Desert/Springs area, it is easy to go back to the same courses, but we were happy we tried a couple of new courses as they will now be added to the rotation ;).

Playing Desert Willow Firecliff on May 31st, our annual work buddies "FRYday in the desert". Noon tee time. What doesn't kill you always makes you stronger.

I played out there last January, ‘18 and played Tahquitz Creek along with PGA West, LaQuinta Mountain. Also went to The Journey at Pechanga and Oak Quarry. Looking to make a return there again probably late in the year and possibly a visit to the TPI. It’s so beautiful out there. Trying to move out there.

Before you commit to moving out there, I suggest spending a week there in July.

Back in ‘94 and ‘96 i played 2 rounds daily for a week in August out there. I sweated a little bit, lol. We had set up through some guy that did packages and he originally was only doing one course a day, but when i said we want to play two rounds/day, he responded oh, you’re one of those type of people, lol. It was great, twilight started at 7 am, lol. The afternoon courses asked us if we wanted to come back another day so they could go home, lol. We were the only ones on the course.

I've been a "Texas Transplant" for 5 years now. Northern San Diego county has been a great place for me. If you get out here, look for our local TT golf outing in March.

Are you already planning one for next year? I just moved from Philadelphia last year to Texas, now setting sights on PS, date tbd, lol.

We had a very successful local event this March so we are going to try and keep it going every March. We will change up the courses from time to time but the window works well. We get some out-of-towners that are trying to get away from winter weather and the month doesn't compete with the bigger events sponsored by Titleist. Look for info here in January. Until then, enjoy TX and/or SoCal, wherever you end up.

Oh, very cool, Adam L. Glad to hear you and your friends had a great time- it's really hard not to during the time you were there- good weather, good courses in great shape.
Anyway, I think I've seen this post in Facebook, but just the same, I still get excited about that place.
    Cheers!

I'm headed to a wedding in Oak Glen, CA next May (2020). The plan is to make it a mini-vacation, and play a few rounds in the area. Looks like I'll only be an hr away from Palm Springs, so I'll be looking for places to play out there.
