Just booked it! Heading down in March for a Titleist fitting & to finally play Pinehurst! While I'm playing, the Mrs will be getting the Spa treatment. So I'm good!

    I can't wait!

Pinehurst is an awesome experience. The folks there make you feel at home and #2 is unforgettable. Played the Cradle last spring and what a hoot. A nine hole party. Have played #4, the old and the new. Recommend it. Have fun.....

You are going to love it. Have fun! It took me way too long to get there the first time. Glad to have two trips there under my belt and will likely return again in a few years.

One of my favorite spots. The resort and their services is top shelf. Have played No. 1 thru No. 7 and they are all a fun and challenge to play. The caddy's are excellent. On No. 2 the greens are where you will get the best test at putting, the caddy's know them well. Good eats at the resort and in the village. Have fun.
  6. Omg that sound like heaven no wonder you can't wait.

    TT Members,

Do we know if this event is still taking place with everything going on in the world at the moment and if so are there any open spots left? Hope everyone is staying safe, looking forward to getting back on the links soon.

Checking with the web site, the Resort closed 3/24 and is closed until at least 4/16. With limitations the courses are open for small groups. Since the package (used to) include lodging and "all shops" are closed, best to call them directly for availability.

Living about an hour north of Pinehurst I'd be surprised if this event is still on...it's a bummer but right now everything is a bummer. Please be safe y'all!

Got a text from my boss today stating that the courses along the coast of SC are getting more restrictive regarding play. Can we expect closure of more courses soon, most likely, in my opinion. I go to physical therapy twice a week for my back surgery and the head of the department and I had a discussion today regarding them remaining open at the spine institute. They are having a meeting today with the heads/owners of the clinic to discuss future measures. Wait and see. I do have a list of exercises that I do at home that can keep me in shape, if they stop seeing patients. It is what it is.

In Washington state our very short-sided Governor has shut down all golf courses and practice facilities. I feel fortunate that last summer I chose to do a bucket list golf trip with a good buddy to Scotland. We chose six courses to play over our 15 day trip. We started out in Inverness and played Royal Dornoch where they've been playing golf since the early 1400's and then Castle Stuart. We then traveled to St Andrews and played Carnoustie and the new St. Andrews course. We didn't win the lottery to play the famous course, but enjoyed the St. Andrews area immensely. We then took a few days off to take in the Royal Tatoo in Edinburgh. Our final two courses were Kingsbarns and East Berwick. From all perspectives (golf, views, amenities) Kingsbarns was our favorite...a must play if you go the Scotland. Sadly, I am now limited to chipping and putting in the media room and taking some practice swings outside. One good thing... when the season cranks up I will have a lot of money to play more rounds or buy some new equipment.

Our local mayors closed the beaches and finally our Governor made it official because the attorney general said the mayors did not have the jurisdiction. Politicians. He also closed access the lakes and waterways. With this pandemic I personally think it is necessary to close all gathering places to ensure the safety of the public. Our mayor has put in place a stay home order, which I support and no short term rentals. We need to get thru this and then we can resume some sort of normalcy down the road. Guys I have not played golf since the first week of December because of my back and then surgery in February and the world has not come to an end yet. And you know I have not missed it that much. Feel as though it will be a new beginning when I am released by the doctor to return and this virus is over with. Am exercising on my own now, because the clinic has closed until further notice. Something I did not do before, have lost 18 pounds, which I needed to do, and the exercises will strengthen my core and add torque to my swing. When it is time I will see my golf instructor for an adjustment and have a new enjoyment for this great game. And our course is under renovation and the back nine should be finished by July and the front by 2021. I am in no rush. Time is on my side. Did the course need it, absolutely, built in 1929.
  15. I too had this booked for myself and my 73 year old, 10 handicap, father. We were really looking forward to the fitting time. I was going the iron route and he was going the driver route as i think the TS1 would really help him.

While it was a hard decision, we cancelled. Hats off to the class of Pinehurst for extending their cancellation policy and helping us with compassion.

We will get past this and be teeing it soon!

    Be safe everyone!
