Sounds like an awesome trip. Definitely want to get Gamble Sands on my bucket list. Hopefully a few NW’ers here that can throw out some advise. I am a bit worried about the day the sun stops being warm. That might even top this crazy COVID problem. okay, sorry. I couldn’t resist. i would suggest the schooner and shelburne restaurant and pub.

Trip recap: Palouse Ridge and Circling Raven are great courses, highly recommend. Wild fires closed Gamble Sands, so will have to make a another trip out there soon.

CR is a little more "maintained" but at $100 more per round, they can afford a little more water. Bunkers are well positioned to make the course challenging and forces more course management. Mix of prairie, PNW tree-lined, and parkland holes.

PR is WSU's home course and has great challenges as well as "easier" routing options to it. Beautiful course through the rolling golden hills. Has a great mix of local community vibes and buddies trip course. Might be a little biased since I got my first eagle on this trip.

Will definitely go back to both...as well as hitting Gamble Sands.

Hate hearing about the fires creating a problem with Gamble Sands. I know it’s been bad from down here in San Diego all the way up to the border. Hopefully they get under control before the TTI at Bandon.

Fortunately nothing at Gamble was destroyed, but from the pictures it looks like the fire came very close. Grateful for the men and women fighting the fires...hoping the weather can turn quickly to help them. Supposed to rain Friday, fingers crossed.

Congrats on the eagle! I’ve heard great things about Palouse Ridge, but have yet to play the right half of Washington State.

Can't recommend Palouse Ridge enough. If you're a fan of Chambers and The Home Course, you'll love PR. It's a 4.5hr drive from Seattle, rounds are 3hrs, and if you play 36 it averages out to $55/round.

I might have to do another road trip once the air clears and before the temps drop.

GO COUGS! I graduated right as the course was getting finished and enjoyed a few student rate rounds. Wish I saw this before you played!

Did a similar trip last summer before the fires closed Gamble Sands. I'd consider adding Wine Valley in Walla Walla to your trip, though beware the locals refer to it as Wind Valley. But it is good links style.
