  1. I am taking my dad to Scottsdale at the end of February for his 60th and my 30th. We will have a foursome, and we are planning to play Quintero, both We-Ko-Pa courses and Wickenburg Ranch. Is there any benefit to booking through an agent or go the Air BnB route? Do you get better tee times, cheaper rounds, etc? Also, are there any cool golf shop to visit while there?

Dont think you're going to get discounted rates through an Air BnB.. Look through golfnow or other discount websites. But you have selected some of the best public courses in area.. Add in The Boulders, the resort is top notch as well.
  3. I’m local. You might want to consider staying at the resort at We Ko Pa. I bet they offer a discount on their 2 courses. Other nice resorts with 2 courses include Whirlwind and Talking Stick.

Sounds like a great trip. Some buddies and I just played Wickenburg Ranch, I would recommend trying to play LiL WICK also its the 9 hole par 3 course. Madgolfer.......hitemstraight

Have your camera phone ready, views at the WICK are awesome.

I lived in AZ for a number of years and the courses you picked are top notch. Are you planning to play 36/day or are these being broken up over multiple days? Are you planning anything other than golf? Old town Scottsdale is fun and

Unfortunately, WeKoPa and Quintero/Wickenburg Ranch are not exactly close (NE vs NW). I would look at something in the middle or look at staying at WeKoPa. Unfortunately, the end of February is prime season in the Phoenix area so deals may not be readily available.

Hornacek's Golf is a pretty cool shop on the north side of town. I am happy to try and answer any questions you have.
  6. Thank you all for the replies. I was not getting email notifications, on the responses. We have bumped the trip back to May.

Tyler, we are planning to play 18 on Thursday and then 36-Friday and Saturday. I have Quintero booked, I have heard that is a must play. We are staying close to old town Scottsdale. Any restaurant recommendations?

    Thanks again all!

My wife is an accountant and we do a yearly trip after tax season usually in mid May. Be prepared for warm weather (80's to 90's). We always stay at the Hyatt Gainey Ranch and play there. Lots of golf options between Quintero and We Ko Pa. As for restaurants, many small eateries near Old Town and Fashion Square Mall, and many fine restaurants nearby. We aren't into the finer restaurants too much, but Houston's is a great one and is near Old Town. Our favorite is Wally's in Gainey Ranch. Low key and great food and beer (try the meatloaf).
Have fun. It's a great golf destination, and in May the green fees drop a bit from their highs.

Grimaldi's Pizza is a good spot to eat. Also google Triple D Phoenix/Scottsdale and see what comes up. I usually do that when I travel. You will find some nice gems.
