  1. I know I am not the first but sadly discovered today, at the end of a visit to a public range, that I have joined those that have had their TT bag tag nicked - I am certain it hasn’t fallen off.

I was very pleased to get my tag in the post in January this year and proud to have it my bag.

Very frustrating and annoying end to 2020.

It’s an old saying, and i know it won’t provide you with any comfort, but 1000s of others on here will relate to it............”It’s better to have had and lost, than to never of had at all”

I'd like to give you good news, but the bad news only gets worse. Probably already sold on the internet for 50 quid.

After a friend of mine had a 9 year old Cobra driver relieved from his bag at a public course, I park my clubs in my car out of sight. But a driver worth almost nothing - why??

The very reason I only attach it to the bag during special occasions. I now use embroidered bags with the TT logo sewn on which has eased my worry.
  5. Sorry to hear that. I had my taken when my whole bag was taken when my car got broken into at a golf club car park 18 months ago. But a lot worse things happen to others

Such a shame, reason I don’t let my bag out of my sight.

If you are fortunate enough to get another one, use some electrical tape on the car binder. The day I received mine, I made a trip to the hardware store...

I hadn't realised that I needed to take such care of my TT bag tag. I know better now!!!!!

What kind of range set up is it? Terrible to hear but how can someone get that close to your bag, get both hands onto it and remove the tag without you or anyone else noticing??
  14. It was the big and very busy range at Greenwich (by the O2) in London. All bays were in use and I guess having so many people there meant it was easy to do - 95+% of everyone there would be facing the range.

If I get very lucky at some point in the future to get another eg by getting into a TT golf day, I will fix it very securely and mark it in some way too. We live and learn !

I've fitted mine to my bag and then put some Heat Shrink Tubing over the catch, its designed to shrink over electrical cables and makes it difficult to remove the tag without cutting it off, which is a bit of a job!
It's available on eBay at a low cost, you just get the right size and when you put a heat gun or soldering iron on it it shrinks over the clip.
Bit late for the guy who started this post but might be worth considering for those who have the treasured TT bag tag clipped to their bag!

Heat shrink wrap over the clip is a great idea! I’m gonna have a look on eBay now
  17. I had a green Scotty Cameron crown bag tag/putting disc swiped from my practice bag last year paid daft money for it too. Not lucky enough to get a TT yet but think ill be getting a more secure option next time securing to the bag.
