Just an update on my prior post on the SM11 A+ grind. It arrived on Friday and I put it into play this weekend. All I can say is WOW! Don’t remember purchasing a club that had more of an impact on my game than this one. Opted for 58.08 version. Felt great in my hands the minute I picked it up. Confidence is way up. I got up and down for 4 straight holes leading one of my playing partners to quip “the way you’re pitching and chipping you”better off missing greens “. Thanks Titleist and Bob Vokey.

I’ve looked into this quite a bit as well because I also like the idea of getting initials or small custom marks on wedges. From what I’ve seen, there are basically three options. The cleanest and most reliable is going through the manufacturer when buying new wedges, like the custom stamping options available with Titleist Vokey Design Wedges / WedgeWorks, where everything is done professionally with perfect alignment and finish. The second option is DIY stamping, which some people do at home using stamp kits, a hammer, and a steel block, but it takes practice and there’s always a risk of misalignment or damaging the finish if you miss-hit. The third option is using a specialist metal stamping or engraving company like AKStamping (https://www.akstamping.com/) which does precision custom metal stamping work at an industrial level, so while they mainly serve engineering and manufacturing sectors, it shows how much more controlled and consistent professional stamping can be compared to DIY. Overall, I think DIY is more of a hobby approach, while factory or specialist services give a much cleaner and more durable result if you want something truly professional-looking.

Hi Has anyone custom stamped their wedges? I quite fancy getting my initials done on the wedges. I’ve seen some really nice custom stamped wedges but can’t find anywhere to do it. Is this something that can be done yourself and how? Or is it specialist job? Thanks

Just replaced my 4 Vokey SM6 wedges with 4 new Vokey SM11 wedges. Just waiting for them to arrive! Also waiting on my GT2 driver, 2 GT2 fairways and a GT 2 hybrid 24 degree. Also waiting on my 2025 T150 irons 6-9 to arrive too! I also got my Scotty Cameron Phantom 7.5 today! So all new Titleist clubs! My previous clubs were all Titleist too!

I really want to hold off on purchasing a new SM11 till I see what colors they will come out with this year! They need to bring the blue back and take my money already lol

SM11 Oil Can Durability?

For those of you gaming the SM11 in the oil can finish, what has your experience been with regard to the finish’s durability? I’ve currently got the nickel finish SM11’s in my bag, and that finish has held up well. But I’m now considering the T-series irons in oil can, and I’ve got concerns that the oil can will wear off quickly. TIA!

Just over a year with my *60T and it's still in great shape. Between play and practice it's my most used club. No durability issues other than standard groove wear.

Blind fittings at courses

Does anyone have any experience/know if Titleist fitters, when doing a fitting event at a course, will do the blind wedge fitting like they do at a normal fitting? Would love to do one as I enjoyed my woods and irons fitting so much and worked out so well. Just can't justify the 8 hour round trip just for a wedge fitting. Maybe if they did Scotty fittings I could make it work lol.

I’ve heard they now have interchangeable wedge heads, so you can also get fit for shafts as well. Not having to cart in a barrel of wedges with the stock S200 shaft may improve the fitting options.
Take the wedge fitting online tool. That can help narrow down what grinds may work best.
Then check with the location and/or the Titleist sponsored fitter on how they do wedge fittings. If the fitting is for GTS woods, they may not bring the wedge fittings.

I was fit for T350 oil can irons and SM11 oil can *60S. I believe the PVD treatment will hold up

I was fitted and Just received today. I was fitted for 48.10F, 54..14F 1degree strong, 58.10S. When I hit the M grind it was bottoming out. They feel so good and nice control.

My thumbnail is my 14 club setup. Vokey lofts are 42-46-50-57-60-64. The 60-06K is locked. I traded the 60-04T after intense practice with the two 60* wedges.

recently purchased 54' and 58' vokey wedges, to compliment the standard T-300 irons. I get these clubs well, but wondering if the gap between the 48 and the 54 is little too much. Any, all opinions are appreciated.

The 60-06K is locked in. Intense comparison between it and the 60-04T did the trick. I just added a 48-10F (set to 46*) to fill the gap between the 44F and 52-12F (50*).

I added a 48-10F set to 46 to cover thegap between the 44F and the 52-12F. I did more intense comparisons between the 60-04T vs 60-06K. I had my fitter match the lie angle of the 48-10F to that of the 44F because I had been pulling the former a little. So my Vokey gaps are 42-46-50-57-60-64. I don't mind the 7* gap between the 52-12F and 58-12D.

I have an SM11 48-10F set to 46 with the stock shaft and there is a 10 yard difference between it and the 44F.

How many here have used it. I got one used for $189 and it had an NSPro950 S. I set it up to play as a 9 iron (42*). I liked the shaft so much that I reshafted my 620CB 8 iron.

Based on the EI curves, I doubt you would be unhappy with a Modus 120 R in your Vokeys. They’re a fair bit heavier, but nothing crazy and though tge tip is stiffer, there is a section just above the tip that is actually softer than the 105.
