Hi, I'm starting to play a lot of golf and I want to start playing in local comps but I'm not sure what to do but not sure how to go about it all?

I'm not the best golfer I hit between 90-100 over  a round. I just want to know with that kind of scoring is it worth starting to play in local comps

    Hi Luke,

Thanks for joining Team Titleist Australia New Zealand.  Starting out in the game can be a bit overwhelming at first, but it's not about how good you are scoring right now - rather it's about finding a great club and group of people in the game to help you progress. There's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't jump in and start playing local comps.  Most clubs cater for all levels of players with regular weekly Stableford and Par competitions.  These events are not stroke-play so if you hit a bad shot (or 3) on a particular hole you can simply pick up and go to the next hole and still be in the comp.

There are some absolutely fantastic golf facilities not far from you.  I would strongly recommend giving the Pro Shop team at Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Club a call on 07 5524 4644.  Clubs are always on the lookout for new members and you are very fortunate to live in an area surrounded by so many great golf facilities.

Best of luck with your golf. Let us know how you get on.

    -Dave

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for all that, I do play at the Tweed-Coolangatta course an I do like to play there. I'll check it out and let you know how I go with it all thanks again.
