An international field has assembled in Akron, Ohio this week for the WGC Invitational at Firestone CC. Featuring 76 of the best golfers in the world from 22 different countries, the field will be tested by the difficult 7,343-yard South Course as players look to claim the prestigious title and build momentum leading into next week's PGA Championship.

With one of the largest purses of the season and bonus FedEx Cup points at stake, it's no surprise that 42 players in the limited field will trust a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success.

That’s more than four times the nearest competitor with 9 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist was also the top choice among players in the hybrids (12), irons (23) and sand, lob and approach wedge (63) categories. Titleist also shared the top spot in the driver category with 21 drivers in play.

Good luck to all of #TeamTitleist this weekend!

Like most of us, Josh G. is serious about his game, absolutely loves his putter  and has been fortunate enough to make the ever elusive Albatross.

Josh is just one of the many passionate, energetic and interesting golfers we have here at Team Titleist.

So, let’s get to know Josh in our latest Team Titleist member spotlight.

Team Titleist (TT): How did you get started in golf? Who introduced you to the game?

Josh G. (JG): I have to credit my grandparents for fostering my golfing addiction. We lived with them when I was little, and in the yard my Pop and I used to chip balls into a fishing net.  Eventually I started to hit them far enough to be dangerous. Good thing they lived near a course. When he'd get home from work I'd have our clubs ready and my pop would take me out after the last group went by. We mess around on one hole that had a little creek circling the green, which eventually fed into a pond behind the dance floor. I was obsessed with hitting high lobs over that pond.

Hitting a quality tee shot and getting the ball in play is imperative to shooting low scores. And knowing how to minimize your misses off the tee and steering clear of trouble can help keep those good rounds going.

In the latest edition of Titleist Tips from the Tour, Titleist Brand Ambassador John Peterson provides a few thoughts about how to help players who have a tendency to hook the ball can gain some more control with their drives.

Check out the video to see John walk us through how teeing the ball lower and focusing on holding your wrist angle can help golfers hit a controlled fade and find more fairways.

It was another impressive showing on the Vodacom Origins of Golf series for Titleist Brand Ambassador Jean Hugo as he battled the wind and rain this past weekend to capture his 15th career title on the Sunshine Tour.

Jean posted an impressive 3-under-par 69 in the final round at Arabella to claim the one stroke victory. The win also marks his ninth victory in the Vodacom Origins of Golf series. Jean’s first series title dates back to 2006 where he also won at Arabella.
