The PGA Championship is under way and off to an exciting start. The best players in the world, including 98 of the top 100 golfers, will be competing to win the prestigious Wanamaker Trophy in hopes of ending the 2014 major season on a high note.
With history at stake and valuable Ryder Cup points up for grabs, the stakes are high. And when it comes to performing their best on the biggest stage, Titleist is the overwhelming golf ball of choice with 81 players in the field trusting a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success. That’s more than three times the nearest competitor with 26 and more than all competitors combined.
Titleist was also the top choice among players in the irons (42) and sand, lob and approach wedge (133) categories.
Good luck to all of #TeamTitleist this weekend!

It's no secret that placing your tee shot in the perfect position is going to help you set up the ideal approach into the green. So how can we help improve our chances of getting into that prime position off the tee?
As Titleist Staff Professional Michael Breed explains in our latest episode of 18 Shots Presented by Titleist, it starts with planning the right strategy and playing the best shot for the shape of the hole. Michael also walks us through his approach for how to attack a hole that requires a cut shot and he also demonstrates his keys to executing a controlled fade.
Watch the video above to learn how to add this shot to your game. And be sure to check out all of the great drills and advice featured in the 18 Shots series by clicking on the image below.

Countless hours of practice have been logged. Hundreds of competitive rounds have been played. And all of the preparation brings us to the final major of the 2014 PGA Tour season – the PGA Championship.
As the major season culminates this week at Valhalla Golf Club, the focus level and determination of the field will be amplified as players look to claim the Wanamaker Trophy and have their name etched in history as a Major Champion.
The PGA Championship is always a special tournament that historically features some of the more exciting finishes, so we caught up with Titleist Brand Ambassadors Jason Dufner, Adam Scott, Zach Johnson, Webb Simpson, Jordan Spieth and Jimmy Walker along with golf ball loyalists Henrik Stenson, Billy Horschel, Lee Westwood, Bubba Watson, Hunter Mahan, Louis Oosthuizen and Rickie Fowler to get their perspective on this unique challenge.
Each year, in the weeks leading up to the season's final major on the PGA Tour, the PGA of America stages the PGA Professional National Championship (PNC) to showcase the talent and recognize many of the finest players from the association's ranks of more than 27,000 member professionals.
Since 1968, this event has served as the club professionals “Major” event of the year and it honors their dedicated efforts to grow the game by helping all golfers enjoy the golfing experience more thoroughly.
The PNC also carries with it a special reward for those who place among the 20 top finishers – a spot in the field at the PGA Championship and the opportunity to compete for the Walter Hagen Cup.
Last month a group of 312 PGA professionals gathered at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club and Grande Dunes Resort Club in Myrtle Beach for the 47th playing of the PNC. And at the end of the four-day event, 10 of the 20 players who earned their spot in the 2014 PGA Championship trusted a Titleist golf ball for their success.
Best of luck to all of our Team Titleist Club Professionals in the field this week and we hope you’ll join us in thanking all PGA Professionals for their tireless commitment and dedication to the game of golf.

It was a big Sunday for Titleist Brand Ambassador Geoff Ogilvy this past weekend at the Barracuda Championship where he not only took home top honors but also punched his ticket to this week's PGA Championship, earned a spot at next year's Tournament of Champions in Kapalua and jumped up 65 spots on the FedEx Cup standings.
Geoff also became the first player to win on the PGA Tour with a new Titleist 915 prototype driver in his bag.
As Geoff said in his post round interview, "It was a satisfying win", and we would certainly agree.
So let's take a look inside the bag at the Titleist equipment Geoff trusted en route to his victory this weekend...
