First ACE ever

After playing golf for over 20 years I can now add ACE to my scorecard that has recorded everything from an eagle to a snowman. On Saturday January 21, 2012 I was playing with my golf buddies on the South Course at BlackHorse GC and the round had started like so many, good shot here missed putt there. We came up to the par 3 #6 and I was sitting at 2 over. The #6 green has a swell in the middle and the pin was in the back 3rd with 142 to the middle and 158 to the back. The green is guarded on the left with bunkers and trouble long. I gave the pin 150 and teed up my Titleist ProV1 #7, gripped my Titleist AP2 8 iron and swung away thinking that I just hit a good shot and should be putting. My buddies starting calling it an ACE as it tracked the pin but I wasn't sold. I was sent walking to the green but I grabbed my putter just in case. Glad I took my putter because it kept me from falling over as I was never so excited to reach for the bottom of the cup and retrieve that ACE, wow what a feeling.
